Damage to "carbon" section of rear bumper BRZ
Solwood replied to Solwood's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Seriously put it into reverse and it moved forward, definitely into reverse, at least I was certain it was. No bull, which I find offensive and unhelpful and unbecoming of this forum. I was there when she did it so I can confirm what happened. I was certain she had put it reverse, Just wish I had moved the cars to make her manoeuvre easier Will post pictures tomorrow, yes it's the plastic carbon weave stuff that is damaged I know it's not carbon btw hence the quotes in the title. -
Tbh not tried yet Hopeful I will get a chance on Sunday I think it is auto locking, without the beep so will have to work out the order to do the steps

But the wait is part of the fun.. Says he who bought an ex demo If buying new then 2 weeks would be worth the resale just in case I needed to sell
-
Wait 2 more weeks and get a 65 reg. That's what I would do

Went for lots of 50 to 70 mile runs to great cycle the engine, as suggested ran at times a gear lower to get engine spinning but under 4k Very occasionally after 750 miles and engine warm occasional to 5000 rpm. Building to 7500 once over 1000 miles. One thing now it's run in you can feel how free it is to 4000 rpm , so can see the benefit of being more free with the revs earlier

Lauren your scenario I would say is correct In my case car was unlocked, I parked got out, went to the boot and was unloading food, taking it into the kitchen and putting it in the fridge taking some time. Neighbour had some food as well, was talking to my wife and alarm merit going off. I wonder if it is auto arming. I don't hear the two beeps though Will try at the weekend Gary

Lauren our cat was doing exactly what you say it shouldn't Came home, got out of the car, did not lock it, opened boot and alarm sounded after A minute or so Hit unlock on the remote and it happened again, in fact it happened 4 times. Very frustrating. In answer to the other question i have not tried any codes yet because I could not see any for this. At least from my reading of the descriptions

I may have missed this but how do I stop the system arming if I only open the boot Every time it beeps and then sets the alarm of

Solwood posted a topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Hi the following work with a full size spare wheel Hldr Assy Spare wheel (the bolt) Subaru 97052AJ000 Supporter Holder (half moon "washer for the carrier bolt) Subaru 97047FG000 then handwritten on both was IM013F Total cost £8.45 If you then want a Doughnut rubber boot mat to cover and fit inside the spare wheel (the carpet version does not sit flat with a full size or 16" spare the AUSTRALIAN Toyota part is PZQ20-14020 - I got mine from Australian ebay for £115 delivered. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-86-Boot-Cargo-Mat-with-full-size-spare-All-Weather-Genuine-Toyota-NEW-/261752003752?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item3cf1a29ca8 Cheers all Gary -

The combo suggested would give you your boot back and make it safer too. -

Luckily I did not get any additional charges. I would not drive with a loose wheel too risky It really does fit snugly as if it were made for it. Oh wait it was !!!! Plus the benefit of being rubber if you put anything damp in the back of the car. -

Sorry just checked it worked out £115 Inc delivery Obviously dependent on exchange rate Fits really well -
Easy to reduce the noise in the car by blocking the sound generator It is deliberately light Personally I think it is a second car. I don't think I could have it as my only car

Is there an option to fold the mirrors when locking the car please

I bought a BRZ ex demo after a test drive Why- well £3k saving on new Same price as year old GT86 with average miles Only 340 miles on the clock Yes I did haggle £500 off the screen price Subaru is not on drive the deal, Toyota is so perhaps use this to size up the discount you are after We bought a silver and I think it shows the curves better than red or white. Indeed a friend who sees loss of GT86 cars as he works close to a Toyota head office commented that none had looked as good. I think the Toyota head unit is better, but for me the deal I had was perfect I prefer the Subaru front end and drl too That said my perfect spec would be like the primo, but with xenon lights I think a proper key start is better than any keyless option, 16" wheels and tyres will be lighter as well Through drive the deal std primo in white (the most expensive color) £20,640 I assume you are going to Woodford, Simpson's where I bought mine have another silver one up at £1000 more I found them Simpson's great to deal with even though they are 60 miles away

Why modify a new car - I don't need this explained to me but...

Depends how you do your finances in my opinion Single joint account, needs to be planned agreed over a certain expenditure Joint account for bills joint savings only rest is up to you. We have a single joint account. I plan and cost up carefully to get the result I want from any major purchase. Not a whim. Then discuss it and my wife trusts me not to go too silly. Our BRZ is standard, our vrs stage 1 remap chosen carefully and is better than std but feels oem. Been wanting to upgrade suspension on the vrs but waiting until it needs replacing We have both commented on the quietness of the exhaust on the brz. Our combined age is over 100! Will we change the exhaust? possible after a couple of years as long as we can remap and improve overall breathinh as well and not ruining motorway driving If you can afford it then fine if it means food not I the table then.... -
Went to Inchcape Toyota to pick up the retainer bolt and styrene fit the spare wheel Ordered using part numbers from here and the other forum Asked for the price of 5 litres of oil for GT86/BRZ. Is it for a GT86 I was asked. No the BRZ variant Only to be told Sorry I cannot sell you an item if it's not for a Toyota. I would be liable Let's get this straight you won't sell me oil for the same car, same engine, with mostly Subaru parts because it does not have the right badge Corrct he says I asked how he could he be liable if I asked for specific parts? Toyota policy I am told I notice that he did not insist taking back the parts i ordered and that he could not return so would be a loss to him Toyota your ridiculous policy had lost a customer for life

Hi bought the aygo bolt as recommended for the skinny spare but it's too short for the 16" full size spare I have Does anyone have a bolt they bought that was too long by any chance Would do a straight swap for the aygo bolt part number 51931-0H010. Cost £5.10 plus vat Or sell this for £5 posted (just bought this today) Also have the poly styrene spacer, part number 64777-0D060 cost £14.95 plus vat, will sell for £14 posted. Still sealed Thanks Gary

Nigel not sure they could supply a replacement oem wheel either, I don't think it has Toyota stamped anywhere Perhaps Toyota owners should start rejecting add non Toyota parts what do you think. Ended the 16" enkei with the primo has a Subaru stamp.

Most lager served in the UK are a pale imitation of the same beer in its original country Belgian bets especially need the right glass. Much like wine Must admit I don't like a "mug" handled glad for real ale, my personal tipple of choice.

Must admit if you are drinking lager a plastic glass would be fine :-)
