Hi All, I was demonstrating the 1320 manifold whistle to a colleague when he remarked that he could hear a clicking sound. We popped the bonnet and found the source of the issue: This obviously doesn't look right, but I'm not sure what that part does? I don't remember seeing it before. The car was remapped last week, not sure if that could be a factor? Need to know how bad etc

At this point I'm just scoping out interest, but I'm thinking of getting rid of my Invidia Q300. I bought it second hand off a forum member for £500 about 4 months ago, would be looking to get that price back. Exhaust is in good condition, I have the box as well. Gives the car a much deeper tone, sounds great under load but no motorway drone, it is the perfect gentleman's exhaust. Had it on with a decat front pipe for 4 months and then with a HFC front pipe and catless manifold and it's perfectly polite even with those additional mods. Plus they look the absolute dogs bollocks, I'm constantly getting compliments about them. So why I'm thinking of getting rid? Basically I've got the urge to have something a bit more anti-social as I don't tend to do motorway runs myself. I'm also thinking of getting a 3" system ready for the inevitable FI upgrade. So if anyone's interested drop me a PM and we can sort something out. Assuming someone wants it I will remove it from the car first week in August.

Just a really quick update, at Fensport today, mine's got the same issue. They obviously haven't tested one of these because the noise is as obvious as being slapped in the face. Already sent them a contact form.

The Q300 is dead quiet, even if you remove the 2nd cat as well you only get any noise at really 4.5k+ RPM. Great is you like subtlety, not so great if you want to feel like you're getting what you paid for. Of course if your longer term plans include replacing the manifold etc then it's perfect. The N1 is droney on the motorway even with the 2nd cat in. Each exhaust sounds different so you're best off hearing a few and making your decision based on that.
