Why change the wheel back at MOT time?
-
It should be mandatory for women to drive cars with parking sensors....
-
Got the Tein Flex Z's with standard springs and I changed to 18x8.5 wheels on 225/40/18 tyres at the same time and had the car lowered 20mm. Car feels much more planted, ride is slightly harder than stock but not uncomfortable, deals with bumps pretty well and the cornering is now even better than stock, plus you can still throw the car around with the assists off.

To address the courtesy car issue first, I'm afraid it's very much a "get what you're given". Toyota can't afford to have a fleet of GT86 courtesy cars ready for people, if you want that kind of service buy a BMW (my missus took her 1 series in for a service and both times she got a 1 series back, people who take in 3-series get 3 series so on and so forth). There's a relatively simple button combo that resets the windows, the ones on the GT86 are prone to getting stuck on frosty mornings, you're far from the only person to encounter this problem. Someone will probably be along in a minute to tell you what to do, although it may be quicker to use the search function on this forum as I'm sure it's on here somewhere.

Gorgeous! I am vaguely considering swapping my wheel nuts out for neo chrome ones....

I find the standard spring rates fine myself, so hope you enjoy them. Are you getting the car lowered as well?

Got any pictures from the back?

Ok, so I need a front pipe with a decent sports cat. I have to go shopping. -

So if you replace both how do you pass? Lots of people saying they have trouble passing the MOT with a high-flow cat front pipe unless you get it hotter than the fires of Mt Doom and yet so many people are doing it something must be ok? -

I'm having difficulty understanding how people are remaining MOT compliant with de-catted headers? I want more power and more noise but don't want the difficulties at MOT time every year. If you go de-cat with the manifold how are people getting past the MOT testers? -

Hi Mike, Did you guys ever get around to producing a sports cat version? Paul -
A catted manifold for £320?! That seems crazy cheap...
-
It IS so cheap.......

Turn on ComedyCentral Lauren, it's always on.

Take it back, park it on the forecourt, walk in and hold out the key. They either fix it or give you the money back. That should get you sorted.

I will be there maybe half an hour late. Didn't get out of work until 11pm and got called by the office 3 times since then (including at 04:30am). Just got up, having some breakfast and I'll be on my way.

I'm not planning on anything else for a while, next set will be exhaust and a remap and then I'm pretty much done until I want to go FI. Need a few months to pay off this little lot first though.

Spent Friday over at Abbey Motorsports reading a book and playing with the Izzy the dog: While I was there Mark and the guys were nice enough to do some work on my car, starting with the Tein Flex Z coilovers: Also had some SuperPro toe-adjustable camber arms fitted, and a new Perrin Cold Air Intake and Intake hose (sound generator delete): And then my new Rota Grids fitted and aligned and the car lowered by 20mm, here are some pics after I washed it yesterday: Car handles so tight now, corners like it's on rails and the ride is so comfy, even better at absorbing the bumps than stock even though the car is 20mm lower. Plus the air intake sounds utterly mint, a loud steady grown from 3k upwards and I swear the throttle response is a bit sharper.
