Depends what you mean. I don't think it sounds anything special.

I'm selling my week old exhaust and high flow cat due to it being incompatible with my head (same reason I had to get rid of my TVR). The parts have done around 200 miles so basically new (distance travelled is from Fensport to my house and then back again to get the stock parts put back). First reasonable offer secures. I'm based in Essex but might be prepared to deliver/meet someone half way depending on distance.

Just put your hand in the handle and wait a second or so before pulling (you'll hear it unlock).

Guilty pleasures. What would you give up your GT86 for?
Willtl replied to Nicebiscuit's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
I would have said a TVR, but unfortunately I've tried that and the noise gave me serious head problems. I'd be happy to give the BRZ up for a decent 3 series coupe. -
How about my Milltek one I'm selling?
-
I have an almost new (200 miles only) Miltek if you are interested. (See for sale folder).

Milltek non resonated exhaust and high flow cat
Willtl replied to Willtl's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Thought I'd bump this as the parts seem to be going nowhere very slowly. I've also advertised them on Pistonheads and Gumtree and the only interest I've received is in the front pipe from Gumtree! Am I asking an unreasonable amount or is it just a matter of waiting until someone either wants a new exhaust or needs to replace their existing one?- 9 replies

Yep, my mistake. I added up the values for all years not realising it was the total not just for each year. It is currently 4885 vs 501. I guess one question is how up to date this info is, GT86s registered in 2014 and 2015 were over 700 where as less than 200 showing for 2016, unless most people buy when the September reg comes out.

Consequences of impending nearby construction
Willtl replied to nerdstrike's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
I noticed this with my old Ford Capri (although as I'd had it resprayed and painted various parts myself that may have been part of the problem). The solution I used was to put a blanket under the car cover. -
When I bought my car (BRZ), the dealership told me that in the UK, the deal does indeed mean that Subaru can only sell a 10th of what Toyota sell. If you check the howmany left website you will see there are 17,964 GT86s out there vs a mere 1,554 BRZs meaning the figure is slightly higher than 10 to 1.

Welcome! I think a few other people on the forum have cars that look similar.

I've started a topic in the trade folder, but mentioning it here as this folder is more active. If anyone is interested in parts that are basically brand new, let me know. -
Selling my Milltek non resonated exhaust and high flow cat
Willtl replied to Willtl's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
I did think about it but it is a 180 mile round trip each time and I really don't want to risk the discomfort, it takes my head 4-5 days to recover. Hopefully someone will want it so I'm not faced with a massive loss. -
I might pick it up when cheap and I've read some reviews.

Welcome. I too had an Alfa 156-from new in 2000 but it got written off in 2012 by a neighbour driving into the side. I bought a new blue BRZ in November last year (quite a damn long wait from ordering in July).
-
What do we get for this 10 times price? The BRZ feels no cooler than our other cars with the air con on. Maybe it is a lighter gas to keep the weight down, slashing the 0-60 time from 7.64 seconds to 7.6.
-
This seems ridiculously expensive. I just got our 5 year old Dodge Journey air con serviced at Ford for £49. I never got my 156 re-gassed in the 12 years I had it.

If you are going to use your car as your everyday car, there is more to the decision than just "nothing this side of £50k feels like a GT86". I used to have a 325i Coupe and I loved the feel of it's performance coupled with the comfort if offered. It also had a sunroof, automatic wipers, a stereo head unit that was somehow better than the stock one in my BRZ from 2015, even though the BMW was from 2009! Taking all of those things into account, I would say the BMW is the better car, and it only cost me £13k when I bought it in 2013. I would say that sometimes I feel a bit of a pillock for giving up my BMW. Hope you enjoy your new car Griff!

Yes, very straightforward. Steps are: Synch trophies Back up existing hard drive to an external USB drive (this takes 2-3 hours). If you don't have an external USB drive, backup at least your game saves to a USB stick or cloud storage (but then you'll have to download/reinstall your games) Install new drive (a doddle) Download latest version of PS4 OS from Sony's site to a USB stick Restart PS4 in safe mode. Choose option 7 to restore from your USB stick Restore your backup (another 2-3 hours)
-
Replaced the drive on my PS4 with a 1 TB hybrid drive last week. Go me.

Can you buy a kayak kit, building it when you arrive at your destination.

I think the lesson learned here is not so much to be careful of who you buy parts from, but where they are based and the value of the parts. I don't want to appear to come down on the side of the seller, but most sellers will only return your money once they have received their items. I've returned £100+ items to Amazon and they aren't going to give you your money back until they've received the items and checked them over - it is to be expected and a disadvantage of buying something on-line rather than walking into a shop. I know it is a massive inconvenience, but with what I've said in mind I can't see how they can be expected to handle this any differently. If they are cash rich and want to go the extra mile they could send out a replacement/refund in advance of you returning your part but honestly, how many companies can afford to do that?
