Yeah I think he was out on track when I was leaving, I emailed him for this details. Will give a good donation as it was great fun, even in the wet. Great to meet you all, and now looking forward to JAE, let's hope the weathers going to be better :-). And less wasps!

I'll meet you all at McDs as well. Looking forward to it, looks like weather might be good for us. Don't forget crash helmet .

Welcome mate, I'm pretty new too, I'll be at Japfest. I'm in Nottingham, where are you from? We are on about trying to get a Midlands meet happening soon, probably one Sunday. Could all have a chat about it at Japfest

So I'm looking at doing my first major mod on my 86 and thought the best place to start is the exhaust. I've been doing a bit of research as you do and I've come to the conclusion that it's probably going to be between the Cobra non-resonated exhaust or the Japspeed exhaust. I've had a look at some of the old exhaust threads and saw that a couple of people weren't happy with how loud the Cobra exhaust is? Does anyone know if they have improved it? I've also watched a couple of videos on YouTube and I really like the sound of it more than the Japspeed one (obviously it will sound a bit different when your standing next to it). Couple of questions Can anyone recommend either of these exhausts or any other good makes? What's the quality like of them both Is it something I could fit? I've got basic diy skills and would like to improve on these, am I right in thinking it's all done up with bolts? Sorry again for another exhaust thread and quite long :-/. I would like to get a new one on for August bank holiday or at the latest JAE. Thanks Kev

Thanks for the comments it's definitely helped, I'm probably going to go for the Cobra resonated though as I would like to do a few trackdays in the future. I will just be doing back to the cat for the moment, I will eventually change the whole system, but I'm a bit short of cash over the next couple of months. I'll be at Japfest 2 in a couple of weeks, so I'll politely ask for a rev off to make my mind set on which one. :-D. Anyone had a go at fitting an exhaust on the 86? Cheers for comments Kev.

Hi just thought I'd say hello, I'm new to this site, I've had my 86 since May, loving every minute of it, only bad point so far is the squeaky brakes. Should probably take it back to Toyota. Does anyone else have this problem a lot? Cheers Kev.

Yeah Mark would be good, even if it wasn't every month. Be good to see what other mods people have done, maybe a small drive somewhere. You going to Curborough Sprint day, (on the events page)

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :-). As far as Mods go Keethos, firstly I want a new exhaust, then probably down the route of performance packs the Cosworth one sounds good, but that'll be next year. I've done a few track days before in my old cars and did a free one in a 86 at Oulton park which was fun, so will again leave that this year, I'll be going to JAE in Sept but I'll just be camping with a couple of my mates we've been going for the last 3/4 years, but I'll come and say hello to you all when I'm there :-). Would be quite good to maybe get a monthly meet in the Midlands going, if anyone else is interested.

Yeah I didn't think it'd be too hard wearing on the brakes and tyres, I've done a couple of track days before in my old cars and one in an 86, I won a competition a few years ago with Top Gear magazine at Oulton park was very fun :-D. Just reading all the Mods you have on your cars I'm definitely going to be jealous of them lol, I'm wanting to pay the car off before I do anything to it but it's going to be very hard not too come 31st of August lol. Looking forward to meeting you all. Cheers

Hello everyone, I'm new to this site, but I've had my 86 since May. I was on the Toyotagt86 owners club website for a bit, but nothing really happened with meets in the Midlands, so I'm glad to hear you guys are meeting. I'll be going to this, as a friend of mine has an MX5 he's taking around the course. Just to clarify can we turn up and pay a donation for one go around? Not sure if I want to shred my tyre and brakes this year :-). Cheers Kev 1. Deacon 2. Mike 3. Keethos 4. Kevb86
