Favourite Racing Car When Growing Up?
bassett replied to JamesP1991's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
Mine was the yellow and green lister storm. Must have been at a GT race at brands and got one of the signed posters, no idea who the driver was but it stayed on my wall for many a year. -
Goc I thought I read the same somewhere as well. The toyota website mentions nothing and dealers generally don't seem to have a clue. The drive the deal and car wow websites also had the correct specs ie colours and options available before toyota site seemed to.

Damn thats ugly like a wide arch MG6

Interesting thread and no doubt once mine arrives I'm looking for the same fast road car that can still be driven everyday. As for components like headers etc buy the brands everyone rates so that if you come to sell or upgrade you'll get nearer what you paid for them and then it's cost you only time or labour and there is no downside of your decision.

Nice to see the gt86 in a show from the mcm boys and interesting results only thing we don't know is how the prius tyres and factory suspension would have done as a benchmark. Is that blue new or the same as the current/old blue?

Hi all, my previous cars have all been from the safe and sensible vw/audi stable and typically i've been to mostly German car shows. With the gt86 ordered i want to get to more jap car shows and events. I prefer a show with a bit of track action, drag racing and motorsport and the misus gets pretty bored of endless rows of static car displays so what shows should I making sure I get to this year and next assuming I've already missed a few. Hi Rob, if you've got room for a not yet gt86 owner I'm in. Could you pm me your address although it sounds like 20+ gt86 shouldn't be too hard to find

Thanks for the input. Will put japfest2 on the calendar to get my first taste of the jap scene. Would have been nice if the 86 was delivered by then but doubt it will

Thanks for the warm welcome and good to hear there are some fellow local owners. Thanks for the offer Rob I will try and pop down although it will have to be in a non toyobaru! As for my plans for the car the first year is likely to remain stock and enjoy it with a few road trips to Wales, Scotland and one across Europe. After the first year I'd then like to do a few N/A fast road mods remap, full exhaust, slight ride height drop, rota titans, fast road pads and a few cosmetic bits and pieces
