Seibon vented carbon bonnet including latches.
JRot replied to Chappers's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
The oem bonnet does fit in the back of the 86, fold both front seats down and the rear seats itll go in through the passenger side, be it its a bloody uncomfortable drive back but yeah it fits xD Anyway good luck with the sale -
Well the LH headlight motor I opened up, it was black inside so that defo failed, the RHS with manual adjustment you cannot move it... So I assume it's stuck.

Next modification gets to the UK in 2 weeks and will be the Buddyclub JDM LED taillights, figure, sequential taillights to go with sequential headlights.

Ello, Sorry for the delay, these were Crystaleye Black LED JDM headlights, they were 8 pin and were plug and play, they themselves were easy swap out move the ballast over and replug all back together, however the front bumper is an absolute pig to remove and to also put back on.. mines sagging and i'm looking into resolving it soon. The only downside but again I'm looking at a solution involving a small pre-made wiring harness and adaptors from a company in the US is these crystaleyes do not run the LED strip as DRLS, however they do as Side lights, so I'll be getting a harness to ensure they stay on when the car starts and always on. Saves me splicing wires anyway. They do not use motors to adjust so its a bit of a pain to set up the beam, but hell at least one less thing to fail *looks at my stock lights where the motors failed angrily* From my research prior to buying these, The Spec D headlights you have to do full wiring, cutting, soldering and then manual beam adjustment too, as they are 6 pin only and built for the US market only, they can be modified to suit, but if i'm / you are willing to spend this money on your headlights then you shouldn't have to do a shit load of rewiring and cutting in to the primary car lighting harness.... that was my reasons anyway. I won't beat about the bush, you may call me crazy, but the costs of these were cheaper than me replacing the stock headlights... considering the motors had both failed. These were £453 for the part, then ~£50 premium insurance (optional), then ~£160 P&P, then a further £140 or so for import and duties and the parcelforce charge. so in total i think it worked out as £780 all in. If your still interested, or just to look at the nice shinies on their website, I purchased these through Nengun in Japan. awesome customer service, took about a month to get to the UK due to being built to suit UK consumption.. https://www.nengun.com/crystaleye/led-headlights

So, I could have fed 500 odd Africans families for a month and supplied running water to several settlements. But being part African I turned my nose up at that and bought these headlights instead. <3 them, now to just sort out the sagging front bumper issue. P. S yes the front black quarters will be going soon.

Very tempted since I have to get discs and pads done for the front literally in. The next few days... Car presently sounds like I'm dragging ET on the front end brake or no brake he's screaming... The stock pads and discs have lasted 7 months... For £360... So how would I get these, and how easy are they to fit yourself? Judging from the comments ts they get high praise, but do they wear evenly? Long lastingish.. Considering I'm. A late braker? Thanks JRot

Any cheeky Discounts offered on? http://www.86worx.com/crystaleye-led-bar-headlights-v3.html Plus also can you confirm if they are straight plug and play for UK gt86, so harness is 8 pin? Thanks, JRot

I am debating replacing the headunit and doing the Rommed Nexus 7 ICE install, at leas then that's significantly more powerful than any head-unit out there. But its a time consuming and relatively complicated install ^^

No photos of the inside atm, as I'll be redoing it all soon, so it'll go back to semi stock soon on the inside. The tinting in say limo on the rear windscreen and rear quarters makes a hell of a difference for 1 privacy, 2 temperatures and 3 yeah it looks awesome. I will say one thing i have to like double check my rear windscreen at night as unless the car behind has xenons i wont really see them, except out the side mirrors.

I've seen like multiple GT86's when I drive around MK never usually see each other though as bloody roundabouts or traffic lights I've admittedly seen 1 grey GT86 and that was only 2 days ago in Eynsham lol but Yeh pretty colour choice, and I'll probably see you around mk area at some point xD

Seen at Geneva yesterday. Toyota C-HR
JRot replied to Squadrone Rosso's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
Well if I decide rear seats and economy are important again I may buy one of these though likely modellista version if it comes to the uk, if I decide nah no kids no need for rear seats, the ft1 supra is still a consideration. But I do intend to keep the 86 as long as I can so... Who knows, but I do like the look of the chr -
As it's not really been answered, unless I'm blind, are these stick over the top or remove the existing ones and stick down? Also as again Im commencing operation buy sh** loads of parts for early next year, where do I order these from?
-
Hey just a curious/ interested post but regarding the rasty 3D gt rear wing, http://www.86worx.com/rasty-3d-gt-wing.html If I was to order said part would there be a massive customs charge for delivery to the UK or does the estimated shipping and handling quote include that too? Thanks

I get the p0351 engine light only when I flat out accelerate hard in full auto... With sport mode, Been driving in semi auto for now 5 months not once has it returned, so sensor likely for me. But Toyota saw the code but as it's totally random they couldn't regenerate the fault... So yeah weird.

It looks better with the carbon almost completely hidden tbh, I'm going to be buying the one Carbon FA bonnet soon, the intention is to wrap most the bonnet except leaving the side vents in carbon and the upper rear section of the bonnet in carbon for the central intake be something different too. The White vinyl you've photoshopped onto the car will look good too, something different, my only opinion though is make sure when you do the front section on the bumper that it is maybe black carbon wrap so its as close to the bonnet colour as possible, else may look a bit odd in standard black. On the other note the white vents, who cares about being 'Ricer' haha I'm being accused of being ricer everyday by friends, I just mock them in return for having crap cars ^^ so do as you like m8, the white vents are defo different, not necessarily in a bad way, I've just not seen them done like that before; think you'd be the only one haha.

In the market for a exhaust system - One that isn't too loud!
JRot replied to Collateral's topic in Modifications
Personally Videos of Exhaust Sounds don't really help at all; unless you can guarantee you have some of the best speakers on the market. They give you an idea, but that's it, to get the real feel and sound you have to see and hear it in person. I kinda picked up on the fact Milltek would suck, just from how cheap they are alone; obviously that's been reinforced by cracks forming on them. I've been recommended by I believe Faith that Cobra Exhausts have some of the nicest sound. Though for me, I'm humming and harring forking out up to 2k in a couple of years and fitting a custom exhaust; quad, or maybe double, or going down the route of central exhausts... either double or maybe triple central pipes... who knows, its an idea anyway; I'd consider the idea of resonating it, as again I may change the manifold at some point... again its an unknown to me. -
Thanks Kurosagi01 Its definitely a fun building process... fortunately the case is totally disassemblable down to the bare chassis, so easy to access everything, its definitely something new from normal Full ATX... I mainly built one as I was constantly moving around so heaving that antec 1200 around with watercooling... the damned thing was heavy... now the Corsair 380T fits comfortably in the passenger footwell on the GT86 haha. Yeah I've like got about 30 games installed at the moment, yet to touch Witcher 3... but i know it runs at over 80fps on ultra so that's all good. I somehow managed to get suckered back into playing WoW legion... last time that happened i was paid to come back... now i did it freely...something is amiss there :/, need to make decisions on which mmo's to unsub from now... have wow Legion, Swtor subbed up... and Riders of Icarus installed... mmo's coming out my ears! As for Witcher 1 Enhanced Edition, though it is a good game the combat system in there confused the living hell out of me... would be like every fight I'd get confused between stances, so everything took longer and was harder xD may of just been me on that one. Witcher 2 awesome game, shame was too short, Witcher 3.... all I know is it may have scored really well from reviews... but marked down for being too massive... haha that will be interesting. I'm pondering a PS4 only as there are some exclusives coming out soon that have my interested.

Didn't even know this thread existed... then again I've been rather absent from both forums for ages.... Read through like each page, figured I'd say a couple of things, to those who refer to NMS as 'No mans sky' I need to correct you it is called NML, 'No mans lie'.I'm one of the 10's of 1000's who negatively slammed that game on steam. Quite a few nice pc setups on here. I am a firm adamant PC Master Race member myself. Recently downsized from a Full Gaming Tower, Antec 1200, down to a mITX build.. cost a fair amount but, you've never seen anything cuter than an mITX motherboard... its so small... Fiddly as buggery to install though. Currently though will be upgrading soon; running MSI Gaming Z170 Gaming ACK mobo, Intel i7 4790K Oc'd to around 3.6Ghz and water cooled. 16gb Corsair Dominator RAM running at 2400Mhz MSI Gaming X Nvidia 8gb 1070 GTX Corsair 380T White mITX Tower White external slim Blueray writer/reader 1x 512gb SSD 1x 756gb Hybrid SSD 1x 2tb 10k HDD 1x 4tb HDD 1x 2tb External Drive BenQ 120hz 3D LED 27" Monitor Razer Naga Mouse Razer Deathstalker Chroma Keyboard The attached image below is what it looks like when you try and fit a massive 1070 GPU inside such a small case, and whilst I was doing its routine clean...I clean this thing more than I do my CAR!!!! Next game on my wishlist though is Battlefield 1 ^^ but still so many games installed and to complete still...

Is it just me or did the replacing of the Power Steering ECU make the steering exceptionally heavy... you need biceps and a half to turn my car now... or was that just because I had a full service, recall and coil ignition fault inspection done... and its like a combination of all that. Think I'll have to start on the weights again to be able to drive.

Since I'm still alive, I'll post ^^ to the original thread subject, the 'rat' or run down look only works as most have said on older cars 1970's and beyond not so much... just looks more like a banger than anything else and yeh reselling would never happen, mad max style better off getting an old run down Mustang and modifying it and rebuilding it yourself then going for that look. As for car materials I can 'doubly' confirm that the bonnet is ally, the rest of the car is generally steel, (was chatting to RRG recently regarding a mod I'm pondering) As for keethos, never saw your original car, daaaamn but better choice going for yellow and black looks nicer from above

Hey all, I've had a gt86 red since like early may, (62 plate). I'm not considering performance mods just yet, but am getting cosmetic work done this month... So my turning up to the amber performance meet on the 3rd of Oct my car at least stands out appearance wise lol. Otherwise for now bar callipers and wheel nuts I'd just the stock car I believe faith here liked a wrap I had done yesterday Phil at tintinit told me about a couple of you on here xD mainly as I've seen one other gt86 in this county and one blue brz. I'm lonely with a red gt86 anyway the car looks as follows atm, will have more wrapping done around 25th of Sept, and tinting at a later date too +alloy refurb (£400= full tinting, all alloys refurbished, tail light tinting) so nice quote for all work in a single day
-
Thanks all not getting the whole car wrapped as red is my favourite colour, so just areas that I've marked up on AutoCad are to accented with gloss black. Additionally I may replace the alloys at some point though for now I just need to get them refurbished but that will only be in a couple of months time
