That's a bugger - get pebbledashed?

I'm half tempted to replace some speakers while I'm popping trim out. Looks like I should be investigating the rear folding seat locks.
-
There's a couple of braking zones which tend to get half-slidey when moist, so you can expect some fun corner approaches!

Have fun y'all. Let me know what kind of speeds you get up to on the big straight. I want to wind up my RX8 former brethren if I can. I never got mine past indicated 112.

I just got a little bit excited: http://hothardware.com/news/lian-lis-adjustable-motorized-standing-desk-is-also-a-case-for-your-killer-gaming-pc

Having higher pressure behind the charger screw will also increase load on the charger itself, but I don't think that would be a very large drain on available power compared with the existing load.

First test drive and review/impressions

I'd just like to say that after putting 1300 miles on a rental Nissan X-trail on a US road-trip, my '86 feels wonderful all over again. It has steering feel, a gear stick, and doesn't feel like it's going to fall over when you brake hard. CVT.... . Then there's the hand brake, climate control, looks, cornering stability, acceleration over 60mph and slightly better MPG. Wish I'd thrown a bit more cash at Avis in the US. -
That sounds excellent. Max that ginger 86!

Well, I've been to Snetterton three times. First time there were 3 red flags involving fast cars and idiots, second time had one closure for 350Z that turned right instead of left, third time there were MX5s spinning all over the place and some nice 11's off at Montreal. In short, I have no illusions about immunity from calamity, but I've had some good days there,

Trackside views are not too hot. The scale of the course means big gaps between the same car coming round again, and you can't really see more than a couple of corners at once. Passenger rides are fun but you would have to wear a helmet (which is a tenner on the day). I like the track, and it's not too far away, so I'm trying to egg myself into booking with my shiny most valuable car I've ever owned...

Hmm... the mid-life refresh often brings with it a bunch of changes under the skin where they're addressing emerging points of failure. Don't be shocked if there are a few incompatible or different bits inside.

If the instrument binnacle coating is non-plastic, then future owners might be able to see outside instead of dashboard reflections on sunny days. That could be a useful improvement.

Nobody cares unless there's a factory fit boosted option...

Ironically their company name is really descriptive. A single quantum of tuning is the smallest possible change they can make.

I don't have a sweet racing setup, but I do have: 34" Dell ultrawide, an enormous case and a triple length radiator and cooling loop, and a Samsung 840 pro 512gb ssd... shame about the 5-year-old GPU that's been overclocked all its life and has major artifacting when cold...

I now have a soft spot for Autoglym birdpoo removers. They're little impregnated tissues for exactly this scenario.

Score! Well done

On my last car the thing to go was the sway bar links. Like this: http://s19.photobucket.com/user/blkwrxwag/media/IMG_0345_zpsc4a5fe1d.jpg.html

That's some serious technical overkill for a racing wheel setup. Make it so!

100 musicians, 2 sets of timpani thundering away behind me, good times. I'm trying to get into boogie woogie at the moment, but it's taking a lot of time.

I have been playing piano and clarinet for the last 24 years, but don't get to play much in public any more. My days in the Imperial College sinfonieta are long gone!

Unexpected things you like about the GT86

I would just like to say: 55" tv in the boot! Had to unbox it though :-/ -
I like the VSC as it is at the moment. I'm not good enough to catch every slither or slide, and it lets me know when I'm being too brave, but only after I missed my moment to control the loss of grip. The default is too locked down, I think they should have a paranoid button rather than a sport button.

Wow, these things are puny. My ol' RX8 had 68 Ah and crazy cranking amps. I don't know how they ever thought the white-sided batteries would take all the electrical accessory loads, auto-controlled headlights, keyless entry and alarm etc. in poor conditions.
