Soon tempted.... -
is he still being an 'ostrich' or is he playing ball now? the one caution I've had is that even if you get a win in court, it can still be apain to get any money out of them - but a CCJ will make their lives difficult for a while. If they try to declare themselves bankrupt to get out of paying a debt, it can backfire on them.

I have spare dash parts you're after - maybe we could do a deal? -
I tried to be fair, civil, reasonable at all times over the last 2yrs. I got advised that this will go a long way with the District Judge who will want to see how each party has behaved. Keep detailed records and have all your evidence ready and a detailed statement of the situation. I can send you what I did. I also had all the texts and emails as part of the evidence I submitted. Ideally you would need a court certified expert witness or an industry recognised expert tuner with a proven history. Get legal advice from your insurance if you have legal cover.
-
I have a similar experience in terms of paying someone to do a job for me, providign some expensive materials and then getting a shit job at the end. 2yrs on and we're due back in small claims court on the 22nd Dec! Legal advice I got was from my household insurance (couldn't use them to take it on as a legal case due to his liability insurer stalling to take me over the time limit), and others was to use the SCC as it was 'just' under £10k of damages. Trading standards were a bit 'wet' and siad it look ok to them - despite me listing all the fauls I'd been told about and that was just what we could see! We had a 'directions' hearing as the defendant wanted to dispute it, we ended up being told to give each other a list of 'industry experts' who could be commissioned to write a detailed report on the work done. He never bothered to provide a list to me and chose an expert from the list I had created which was rushed to get it in for the evidence hand over deadline. The report got done and essentially condemned his work - even stating that he has devalued my property due to his negligence and dodgy workmanship. Given the specialised nature of your dispute - you may be asked to agree to have an 'expert witness' report done. This will need to be someone you both agree on to do the work (unless he does like my defendent and act like an ostrich). The next issue is finding someone (you might need 3 names) who are recognised as being able to doe this sort of work? Maybe research potential people for this - e.g. Fensport, Woodsport etc?

Does it have all the bolts/gaskets with it? If you could do it for £165 delivered then I'd take it.

try Dewsbury Auto Salvage ? -
The one thing I'd like to be able to retrofit would be the MY17 dash cluster and steering wheel controls... rest of the cosmetic changes aren't much of a concern to me...
-
I had Spax 40mm springs on my ST202 Celica for about 10 yrs of the 12yrs I owned it - so dropping on Eibachs will be about the same effect I expect. At some point I will probably upgrade to Tein coliovers but want new wheels and the TRD kit fitting first.
-
they're some really nice examples... going for an ET35 - just got to see if the piggybank will cover 17's or 18's.. Tough decision time then - Ultraleggeras or Allegritas? Bear in mind there's a TRD kit with my name on it somewhere between the Japan and UK that these wheels will need to complement (when it's been sprayed and fitted !)
-
ok - looks like I need to find me a deal on some OZs then when I decide on 17's or 18's. I have a local wheel place to look after me for tyres.so will look at them for some Toyo T1R's / Yoko S Drives or similar.
-
Just playing with the Tyre sire comparison (frsproject.com) and it looks like 215/40/18 is the better size tyre to use ?? Given that 215/40/18 is a pretty much non-existent size tyre - how much of an effect will the wider tyre/larger rolling radius affect the handling? I appreciate that the speedo will be out slightly...
-
so 18x8 ET35 and I'd not need to think about 20/25mm spacers then. As long as I can still lower on the Eibachs and not worry about catching on the arches that'd be great.
