I got mine for less than £800 from Amber a year or so ago. They seem a lot more expensive now, possibly due to the weak pound.
-
I see I'm already on the list.
-
Question for you @Ade, what are the best places for sound deadening to reduce road noise? Rear arches, doors, anywhere else?
-
NCP are quite expensive in Manchester. Parkopedia is a good site to check parking prices.
-
Depending on how late you'll be arriving I'd be tempted to park on street at that time of night. Plenty on Deansgate and some of the side roads. It's free after 8 (until 8 am) so often works out cheaper than a car park.
-
Nearest is probably TD in Warrington. It's a fair trek from Durham though - a good 2.5 hours.
-
Was it you I saw yesterday in Northwich town centre @Si316?
-
How much are these over a normal pro?
-
I can't do evenings at Snett, it's 5 hours away... Anglesey is tempting though, I can be there in two hours, give or take.
-
I have a Javelin voucher to spend, could be tempted by Snett if it's a Javelin day (will try not to crash this time).

Spotted, white Aero with Castrol livery, M6 South J15-11
Rich replied to Lowe's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
The Castrol one is/was Oakmere Toyota's demo. First one I looked at - it was running a TD catback and induction kit, sounded ace and really got me hooked on getting one. -
I agree with this. You can feel it hit the bumpstop, and it's softer than a typical rubber one... but it's not something you want to do too much as if you bottom it out it's really harsh. The Teins do ride well though, and allow a fair degree of pace on most B roads.

So I have the 1320 manifold. It whistles a bit. It's certainly not the worst example, but I'd rather it didn't as it doesn't sound great. I've had a quote for rewelding the flex joints, going to be £192 plus gaskets, which is near enough £220. The the issue is, get it rewelded, which may or may not solve the issue, or get something new and try to flog the old one to someone unfussy?
-
This is my understanding too - there will be differential expansion of the engine block and the manifold runners, so without flex or slip joints the manifold will crack.
-
Not many (any?) are completely rigid. They tend to have at least some play in there, either via flex joints or slip joints. Getting the flex replaced isn't the problem in and of itself, it's that it will cost a significant chunk of change and I may still be left with a crap manifold.

Active Pro has independent 4 wheel adjustment and lateral G force adjustment. So it can vary the stiffness left to right as well as front to back. Active just does front to back. I think it's worth it as the cornering adjustment is one of the best features of EDFC - it reduces roll without needing to fit overly stiff ARBs. Also, Active Pro has ECU speed input, so if you opt for Active you'll need the GPS kit. There's a table at the bottom of this page with a comparison of the kits: http://www.tein.co.uk/product/edfc_active_pro.html

If I were you I'd be looking at a proper mapping session on a dyno, not an off the shelf map. They only give decent gains on turbo cars by dialling up the boost; for N/A I doubt it would be that great.
-
It's only about £6 a corner cheaper, not really worth worrying about.

Blackcircles currently quoting £92.57 unfitted, or £106.97 fitted. Seems they've gone up a quid or so since my post. I'm waiting for Rich from RRG to see if he can haggle down his supplier though.
-
I'm pretty sure it was, yes. Blackcircles is the cheapest I've found for PS4s, which I am getting shortly.

Momentum is 99 RON. Specs here: http://www.greenergy.com/uploads/jjpW7I1I49kY_99octane_2017.03.pdf
-
99 is better, as it's higher than the specified octane. Your options are basically Shell VPower and Tesco Momentum, as I don't think anyone else sells 98+. Most places sell 97 octane super unleaded. FWIW I mostly use Tesco and it's fine.

I have C5 (applied to new wheels off the car) and managed to bake brake dust onto my wheels. They did clean up fairly well, but it wasn't that easy.
-
He is quoting the stock wheels there. FWIW I have 17x8 ET42 wheels are they are still fairly tucked, definitely need at least 10mm less tuck to get them flush. Those CE28Ns should be around 6kg each I think, very light indeed!

There are some vicious humps here. Even at my current -15mm I can hit humps if I'm not careful with speed, especially with passengers.
