They are £320, carbon fibre are about 3 times that as I recall?
-
I have no idea! I didn't take these photos, so sadly your guess is as good as mine. Paul, carbon fibre bonnet is a lot more costly.
-
Straightening in progress! Looking it bit sorry for itself there.
-
Small update, car has been straightened out now, still waiting on parts though (due Tuesday). Might have it back next week (I hope). Really getting bored of the Yaris now.
-
Rocks don't cheese wire so well.
-
I suspect anything with wires thin enough to be invisible would lack the strength to actually protect the radiator...
-
Yes I am, tomorrow evening right?
-
Pretty much anything strong enough to remove tar quickly will remove sealant unfortunately. It's the nature of the products.
-
Mine has it, it's a warranty fix though. Check for vertical scratches on the windows too, caused by a faulty mechanism.
-
You might want a new overpipe to front pipe gasket. Should be able to get one for a couple of quid.
-
Mine were about the same price as yours.
-
It came with a manifold to overpipe gasket. I bought new block to manifold gaskets off ebay.
-
Put me down as a maybe, I'm not sure if I'm busy that weekend or not...
-
When are you getting it fitted?
-
I'll be loud regardless. No backbox is going to increase the noise a lot.

Spoke to Richard again this morning. Aircon gas change requires a new compressor which makes it uneconomical compared to a regas, even with the crazy gas prices. Headlights are being swapped for aftermarket units from Fensport, saving me a fair chunk, even more if I can sell off my driver's side headlight on ebay. Apparently the whole bottom of the casing is broken rather than just the brackets, so not worth trying to save the passenger side unit. Decided to just get the rest done, it retains Toyota warranty that way, and I know I'll have a car with everything lined up and tidy.

There's some labour, but a lot of it is bodywork which I'd really need fixing all at once before the bumper is resprayed. Not sure I'd save that much. I can definitely save some by not getting the A/C regassed by them, and hopefully by fitting my own headlight. Not sure if there is much more than that to save.

Dunno, not sure if that's possible without replacing other parts of the AC unit, which may work out more expensive overall.
-
Got the quote, it's proper expensive. Need to find how I can reduce costs as much as possible. Meh.
-
Yeah, I'll be looking for a second hand one, or going aftermarket I think (Valenti headlights are pretty nice looking).
-
Well, Richard called, various bits are broken that were not obvious from the outside. Nearside headlight brackets are partly broken. Not sure if I can get away with not replacing (or maybe get one from a breaker's yard). Aircon condenser is broken, so that's a new expensive regas (mine is the expensive HFO-1234yf sadly). Chassis legs need straightening on a jig (already suspected this one).

No, it's a 50 litre tank.
-
That's a lower-case 'L', i.e. 'l', not a capital 'i'. It's litres.
-
You're assuming it reads as 100 for full scale... 95 is "because it works"; it reads 50l when you have just filled up and decreases by the right amount. It's adapted from the stuff on ft86 where they tested various numbers while filling the tank with known amounts of fuel.
