In case anyone is interested, my fuel remaining PID is: PID: 2129 Min Value: 0 Max Value: 55 Scale Value: x1 Unit Type: l Equation: ((A/95.0)*50) ODB Header: 7C0 Gives fuel remaining in litres.
-
I have a working fuel left PID, seems pretty good to me; showing ~50 litres just after a fill and seems accurate after that. It required a little bit of fiddling to get it spot on as I recall. My oil temp got to ~130C within a lap or two at Snetterton but doesn't really go above that. Seems like my manifold adds a bit of heat soak. Maybe I should look into an oil cooler.

I have RRG's red Yaris, on winter tyres! It's certainly a bit interesting in the handling department.
-
Not yet, bank holiday today means the body shop is not working... I'm estimating probably a couple of weeks.
-
To be fair, both head units are pretty pants, so you might as well just plan to replace from the get go.
-
The Toyota ones are a bit nicer IMO. They invert when you turn the lights on, so the numbers are white on black.

Over on Ade's build thread, a few people mentioned going to the Javelin trackday at Snetterton on April 27th. I thought I'd start a thread to avoid it cluttering his thread to gauge interest. So is anyone else up for this? Best to get booked fairly soon as it's starting to fill up! Event page here: http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/trackday/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=1240itemid=11 Confirmed on track: 1) Rich 2) Ade 3) DanJ 4) Test Drives Unlimited 5) Paul (CanaryWundaboy)

Good choice, the Subaru blue is the second best colour (after Toyota ginger of course).
-
What did you get? Oh saw the other thread, BRZ, nice!
-
To add some more info. At Snetterton mine was measured at 97 dB @ 6000 rpm, which is probably about right. I wouldn't want to go louder than that personally. I have the option of fitting a resonator in the mid-pipe, which I will probably do if I ever go S/C.

I'll probably be spectating at Blyton next weekend, since I have the hotel booked but no car to race in, so you'll have some company.
-
I dunno I paid £17.8k for my 9k one owner 63 plate at the same time as the OP, and that wasn't the cheapest out there.
-
My NA car was hitting about 130C oil temp after a few laps, so those numbers are very good for a s/c car!

I was in second as I was typically at 40 mph or less which is pretty slow for third.

Will do. Current status is that Rich @ RRG is running it over to the body shop this afternoon, hopefully I'll get a quote in the next day or two.
-
It's in RRG's capable hands now, excellent service from @Riceburner as usual. As a bonus, I can get my scratched window and rusty pillars fixed at the same time.
-
Yeah me too.

Ambient was around 10C.

Yup, wet track + track noob is not a great combo it turns out.
-
Also realised I left before we had sorted garage cash. @Ade I probably owe you some money!
-
It was a bit unfortunate, track was dry as I left the pits, then it honked it down. Lack of track experience showed though, particularly wet tracks.
-
Welp, no suspension this weekend for me, looks the car will be at RRG.
-
Go on then... Ginger down!

Thanks Paul. Car has made it home, a little the worse for wear. Was a great day until then, in the dry Snetterton is a really fun circuit.
