Post-charger air temperatures don't affect the density of air, so you won't get power falloff due to lower intake air density. You might get power falloff due to knocking causing the ECU to back off from the high temperatures, but that is pretty much the only way you would. The reasoning is that the air density that matters is the pre-charger density, which is only determined by atmospheric pressure and ambient temperature. Once the air has been pulled into the charger it's in a closed system and so the density cannot change via temperature changes. Increasing temperature in a fixed volume system (such as a car's intake manifold) will increase pressure rather than reducing density.

My 1320 manifold and overpipe were a little under £500 landed, so you save a bit more than £100, since that £600 is for just the manifold. More like £250 once you factor in £150 for an overpipe. 2-3 weeks is a typical time though, they shipped it really fast, the day after I ordered, but having an 8 day wait for customs clearance really delays things. Also, not sure it would be worth getting a manifold shipped via the container route, it was only $120 to get it airfreighted, so you're not going to save very much there.

I emailed them first to confirm. Their cart software doesn't do international shipping, so Jeff raised a separate paypal invoice for the difference between standard shipping and international. Delivery was a couple of weeks, including a week sat in customs.

I have a 1320 performance header and overpipe, stock front pipe and Milltek cat back. It's fairly loud but not crazy. I don't have any torque dip really, since having it remapped.

I got semi-airborne at one point. Weather want the best though so I was taking it a bit easy for the most part.

Incidentally, if you have time I'd suggest leaving the A9 at Perth and going up the A93 to get to Inverness. It's an amazing drive, and no average speed cameras.

Just checked weather forecast, looking like it will be mostly dry and we might even get some sunshine.

Ooo that would be awesome, thanks! I was looking at the Streetmasters already. No idea on pad wear at the moment, I need to have a check on that. I'll try to have a poke this evening, is it possible to check without taking the wheels off? I'm not very heavy on the brakes, but I think I should be a bit heavier to improve times. I'm a bit too used to road driving where the idea is to brake as little as possible.

They were fine, but I wasn't pushing that hard at Bedford due to it being my first track day. Unless it's horrible weather, I'll likely be pushing harder this time. That said I'm still on primacies, so I'll probably be limited somewhat by available grip. It might be as well to see how they are afterwards and decide then. I'm swapping to new tyres after Snetterton, so it might be a good time to do pads as well. Cheers for the pads offer, I might need to take you up on that. I'm not confident on fitting them myself, I've never tried before. I have a mechanic friend who helps with this sort of thing usually.

Speaking of brakes, I'm still running stock pads, I'm a bit worried they'll disintegrate at the track leaving me with nothing to get home. Any suggestions on a good set of new pads? Do I even need to worry? Every time I search on this I end up with more questions than answers!

It's about 3 hours or so from Aberdeen, so I can be there from around 10 am (though a bit later would be more pleasant).

I am driving to Aberdeen on Friday. Staying over there and meeting you in Inverness on Sunday morning. We should arrange a time and place to meet (at your hotel?)

What are you replacing the wing with? I'll have to have a look at JapFest too I think, it looks completely bonkers.

I have a decat UEL manifold and overpipe (1320 performance), stock front pipe and Milltek non-resonated catback. It's not too loud when you're not pushing on, but as soon as you give it some throttle it really picks up. Rumbly at low revs and raspy at high revs. I gained a fair few HP overall, mostly from the manifold I think. Running 205 bhp before remapping, now 216 bhp. Not sure what my stock numbers were, but typical for a catback and air filter is around 196, so I gained maybe 9 bhp from the manifold. Manifold: Catback: Sound Vid: https://youtu.be/l51FvRQBHjk
