Not forged, but still as light as forged wheels. Really depends if you care about the manufacturing method or just the results. I got mine from Sumo Power, about £1500 the set. That was pre-brexit though, so they'll be more expensive now.

I normally dip the clutch to settle it down, but yes, can be a bit annoying.

Considered the Weds TC105Ns (I have them)? 6.75kg for the 17x8 model. Look somewhat similar to a CE28N, but cheaper. There's a dude over in america who makes combined spigot ring / centre caps for them as well, so you don't have to run capless. http://wedssport.jp/products/english/tc105n.html

I have the similar but slightly less well fitting Porsche GT3 brake ducts. I'm not sure if it makes a huge difference to brake fade TBH - I didn't notice much last time I was out, but I don't get a lot of fade anyway.

As Church says, BBK are typically lighter; you can save ~10lb per front wheel swapping to AP racing brakes - largely from the lighter two part disc, but also because the calipers are a little lighter than the cast OEM calipers. Not a bad saving off the unsprung weight really - it's a lot more than a decent set of forged wheels saves for instance!

Oil not getting up to temperature in normal driving?

Only an issue for overpipes as they twist over the steering linkage.

Didn't like it in the end?

They're about £500 a side as I recall. Not something you want to pay for yourself...

Crikey mate, you need to start using paragraphs. No way I can read such solid blocks of text. You say that like it's a bad thing. I have refused to let people drive my car (that I was selling in fact) without showing insurance and would do so again. It's illegal for you to let someone without a licence or insurance drive your car. -

TBH after this shitshow, I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable buying off Jevvy. If he can't post a pic up properly and gets all abusive when called on it, what's going to happen if the parts aren't 100% spot on when they arrive? Forum selling is much more about trust than say Ebay, that trust is not in evidence here. -
Agreed, worst drivers on the roads.

Pics are dead? -
I have a V2 helmet, it's comfy and was fairly cheap (£120 ish); they're a bit pricier now. Open face is definitely much nicer in a hardtop car. Price largely affects weights rather than safety - an expensive helmet will be a super lightweight carbon fibre jobbie, rather than using heavier plastics. You might want to consider getting a helmet with HANS attachments for future proofing also.

Tried it at EGX. Pad control is terrible, almost uncontrollable. Wheel is much better - it was quite fun on a £35k motion rig with a VR headset. Also had a go at work yesterday on a thrustmaster wheel and pedals; not so good, braking didn't feel quite right (tonnes of understeer with any amount of braking), also weird snap oversteer when transitioning from off-track to on). AI are pretty braindead. I'll probably pick it up at some point and give it a proper play anyway.

Haha, yes, she is.

Quite a few reactions to mine. Thumbs up from random small boys. Compliments at petrol stations a few times. All the boys at my girlfriend's school think it's the coolest thing ever too.

Yeah, that design really cramps the oil filter area.

Most of my stuff is taken off the back of the cigarette lighter in the central console.

The O2 sensors give temp readout in torque and they are next to the primary cat, which is the critical point for EGT really if you're concerned about cat breakdown. I'm not sure if you can read both sensors, or just the front (or back) sensor.

Getting the quotes in. Recommendations welcomed.

I don't declare anything that's a wear and tear part replacement if it's like for like in size. So tyres, brake pads that sort of thing. -
I drive in boots a fair bit. They destroy my mats, but not seen much wear on the pedals.

Be interesting to see what the exhaust temp sensors are reading on a FI car.

I have not managed to get any of the specialist insurers within a country mile of mainstream people off the comparison websites. They seem good for some, but they really restrict themselves to the safest of the safe it seems like. -
I crack the seal on the reservoir and just watch the level. I've had to suck a bit of fluid out (a turkey baster works well) before.
