Small world! Hahaha thanks mate! Yeah that's as low as I dare drive it really. It helps with being on the standard wheels since I sold the works. With them being so thin and small, there's not much chance of catching on anything
-
That was you!? Heading towards the m62? Your car looks amazing!
-
So I've finally managed to get the vertex lip on, sort of. It's held on but not perfect, but it'll get there. Also had it lowered another 15mm on the rear, and 20mm on the front to get it literally sat on the floor. Impossible to get this car sitting any lower

It's just a toss up between a seibon boot, or the vis racing ones now
-
Looks even better under the shell garage LED lights! I'd definitely recommend, I'm in love with it
-
I'd have thought with spending so much, seibon would have given a fitment guarantee on their items! No its definitely black mate hahahah
-
Did you have a seibon boot by any chance? Thinking about getting one, but now I'm slightly worried about fitment issues
-
Maybe they've remade it for a better fit, because this has very little to complain about. I'd love to hear about and see pictures of keethos' though
-
It's quite easy to lose sight of the lines on black and carbon, and I feel the stickers kind of make them lines stand out a lot more and makes it look a lot better
-
Just the one I mentioned a few posts back, but it's barely noticeable really. Slight problem with getting the bonnet to push down on the sensor when closed though, so the car was thinking a door was open and not allowing me to lock it. Have done a temporary fix for now, but even that won't take long to sort the issue, it's just finding the time to do it
-
So after having the bonnet fitted over a week, I've finally got pictures of it on. Headed over to paintkillers to get a few seibon stickers made up, so little, yet such a difference
-
Normal driving mode is very aggressive with me, the slightest little spin up and it stops straight away. I drive 95% of the type with the vsc sport mode on, just because it's a little bit more lenient, and a lot more fun, but I know I'll still be safe if I lose control
-
I'll get some tomorrow after a quick wash, it's bloody filthy!
-
I'm just going to leave it as is, I love the carbon look so don't want to cover it. The clear coat on it now is a little bit hazey, so I might even just give it a coat of lacquer and work and Polish it up
-
Fits lovely! Even gap at either side, so I'm happy! The only problem I've found is that where the front edge meets the bumper, it's a bit short so sits behind the rubber seal instead of on it, although it does still seal. So the next step is just to extended the bolt holes and pull the bonnet forward. Luckily the back corners don't line up perfectly, so by bringing it forward it should solve all the problems. Probably about half hours work

Second parcel off the week came today, and my favourite of all parts I've bought for the car. A massive thank you to James @ amber performance for hooking me up with this, and the little bit of discount he gave with it, not to mention the super fast delivery! So yeah, my seibon Ts style carbon bonnet
-
So I'm doing away with the rocket bunny lip, and decided to go for the vertex front lip as a replacement. It showed up today, so hopefully be painted up tomorrow and on the car this weekend

I'm after a seibon carbon fiber bonnet, preferably the one with the 6 vents, 3 in a line at either end of the bonnet. Cash waiting if price is correct

Need these gone! Somebody spend some money!! -
So the wheels are finally almost complete. A lot of time stripping, painting, and rebuilding these wheels, but the results are far better than I imagined. Originally I wanted to go with anodised gold bolts, but unfortunately stainless steel can't be anodised. So instead I decided to keep them polished. Just to seal and get the tyres put on and they'll be back on. Also whilst they've been off, I sent the adaptors away for milling down. These came originally as 50mm!! It looked okay, and the fitment was quite tight, but there was just a little bit too much poke. I'm more of a tucking sort of guy, so shortened them by 10mm to hopefully get the works inside the arches.

Bump! Still for sale -
Is there anywhere in the UK to buy a vertex front lip? All I've currently found are companies based in the US. If not, I have seen the spec R-1 lip on tarmacsportz, is this the same/the best alternative to the genuine vertex lip? Link to spec R-1: http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/GB/Aerokit_GT86_SPEC_R-1_Front_Lip/GT86R1FL_.aspx
