My fob battery has been changed at both the services it's had. I usually plug my phone into USB when driving and it definitely charges!

I doubt it would be the fob battery as this is changed during service. I've noticed, a couple of times, that when I plug my phone into USB it says that device is drawing too much current!

Battery TOTALLY dead after standing 3 weeks before Christmas, gave it benefit of doubt. February TOTALLY dead after a week! Took to Beadles Gillingham and left car for a day. Replaced with TOYOTA branded 65 Ah under warranty. They said they would NOT charge anybody to have battery tested even if it turned out to be OK. I asked if they had put the upgraded 65Ah battery in and they said NO, people have to pay for the upgrade and they would ony fit the listed battery! Upon checking battery it is the upgrade so this MUST be the listed battery now.

Cancelled AA, managed to get door open with WD40 and a wiggle or two. Will get car over to Toyota for checks.

Would love to go but up in Manchester.

Hi everyone. My car has been standing for about 3 weeks. Thought I'd better start her up and guess what! Dead battery and unable to unlock car with emergency keys (either of them). Rang dealer and advised that key WILL be stiff as need to turn locking mechanism. I then managed to mirror Rob and break plastic part of key. I do have Toyota (AA) cover and they are coming to my house Friday morning. My dealer saidto get car over to them and they will sort it out and more than likely change battery. Just hope AA can get car open! Will update on solution to problem, if there is one.

Anything happening up your way Halloween weekend? I'm visiting my daughter in Salford Quays and would come up in my '86 if there's something to go to.

Got my official letter today. Going to book for end of month to allow time to make sure they have parts. If the steering has gone exceptionally heavy have they reconnected it?!!!!!

Must've been scared s***less! Glad to hear that no serious injuries. I can only echo the previous sentiments, you're OK, didn't involve others and it's a replaceable piece of equipment. Hope you are back behind the wheel of a fuly intact 86 soon.

Does it sound true that apparently Subaru are only allowed to sell 1 BRZ for every 6 GT86's sold in the UK? Would explain why BRZ's are seen even less than the 86 (which is rare in itself!). Doesn't sound true to me, heard from friend in car business.

I agree that the wheel stud holes etc should be checked. I had the same thing happen on my GT4, banging when turning left, 2 nuts almost off and others so loose I could turn a couple of times! Other side were also loose but not as bad. Just had work done by garage, wheels put back on by trainees. I was advised to check wheel holes for elongation and luckily OK. I have always been advised when having tyres changed to check wheel nuts no later than 30 miles. My car was brought from Jemca Reading and I had the experience of 'Thanks for your money, goodbye'. When I got home I realised I hadn't got the Supagard pack. I rang and they put it in the post, I received 6 sachets of shampoo some bird muck remover (small can) and another small item. My local dealer has told me that I should have got a holdall with loads of stuff like sponge, chamois, wheel cleaner etc like the Guardex pack my son got with his Polo. I emailed twice and have never received a reply even to say NO you don't get anything else! I am happy with my local dealer, Beadles Medway but would not entertain using (Jemca Reading).

I have found an outlet that has a supply of the 'GT86 Heritage Book' They are asking £79.99 post free. I have enquired about bulk buying and they can do: 5 copies would be £73.00 each10 copies would be £65.00 each20 copies would be £55.00 each I contacted Toyota Customer Services and they came up with the same supplier! Are there only 86 Blancos as the plaque by the seat heater switches says 'Blanco Edition' with an issue number but no 'of'. For example 25/86. Whereas the Giallo specifies the number made. I have been told that the Blanco was produced for a set time rather than a specific quantity. I have also seen dealers selling Blancos stating 100 made.

I was just wondering if this may be the reason Charged's A/C isn't blowing cold. Kwik Fit and probably a few other places probably wouldn't point this out so that they could charge for an unnecessary, and not actually done, re-gas! They tried to get me to have suspension replaced on a car when a tyre had worn on one edge. Went to another Kwik Fit, as a test, and told nothing wrong with suspension probably a dodgy tyre. Correct it was a dodgy tyre!

Would it be possible to get clothing in Yellow for us Giallo owners?

My aircon wasn't blowing cold. I assumed that, as on our DS3, the A/C would kick in when pressing 'Auto'! OK the blowers come on but not icy cold even with temp set to 17 degrees. Thought A/C not working, re-gas? No, not at all, didn't realise that you have to have the A/C switch turned to ON as well!!! Silly me! Surely 'Auto' means Auto? As I said on the DS if the A/C is off and you press 'Auto' the A/C 'AUTOMATICALLY' turns on.

Good place to get 0W20 oil they do 4 litres of Gulf, normal price about £33 so take off 30%= £23 I got some when they had 25% off.
