GT86 Turbo Kit & BRZ Turbo Kit from Tuning Developments
Andrew Smith replied to Mike@TD.co.uk's topic in Tuning Developments
I am n/a but on the road on a hot day my oil doesn't get above 80. My recent trip to Cadwell was really hot, I didn't hold back and It never went over 106 so with all things being equal (which they are probably not) I reckon you will be seeing around 120 on track... disclaimer, no science was involved making this assumption -

You will have no problems with oil temps, mine never went above 106 degs at cadwell the other day, even after a 30 minute stint -

loving the attention to weight saving, what did you have in the boot that was 43.6lbs? -
I have booked Cadwell for the 19th July. £149 at the moment and everyone is welcome to join me at this awesome circuit

If it is the same as the scorpion system I have just fitted then you can use the springs and bolts but it was a bastard to get them compressed enough to get the nuts on. I got lucky on the drivers side with plumbers grips to get the nut on but the passengers side was harder as there isn't as much space. In the end I used a quick clamp as a spreader and used it to compress the spring with one end on the bolt head and the other against the underside of the car. A real faff but got there in the end -
As the title suggest... I'm on the look out for a pair (1 axle) cheers, A

Hi , do you still have these? I'm interested in the 25mm set. Cheers

The positive contact in the middle of the socket has disappeared so im just looking to take it apart to try fix it.
-
The 12v socket in the centre consul has disintegrated. Does this just pop out or do I have to take the consul apart? Ta

Just had a look at mine at it is sitting at a difference of 90 degrees to yours. Pull it out and rotate 90 and slip it back in.

When pushing the stick in, hold it very lightly so that it can find its own orientation

What do you want from your car, road or track? when it comes to modding it opens up a whole world of expense. If it is for the road then a remap with a manifold is a great mod as it cures the problems we have in the lower rev range and it doesn't require any more supporting mods. If you are tracking the car then remap and mani is not so important... spend your money on track days. Turbo for the road imo is a waste of time as we spend most of our drives stuck in traffic. For the track a turbo would be great but then you would need additional oil cooling, better brakes... the list goes on. If I want to feel the power then I jump on my motorbike, 0-60 in 3 seconds although I doubt that I have even got close to that, bloody fast all the same. However @rob275 has a supercharger for sale at the right money

Mine passed its mot with a TD mani and overpipe a stock everything else. Torque dip has become a slight bump and the tone has become fruitier but not really any louder. You could always go the whole HKS system and just slip the second cat in for the mot, its not a massive job unless the HKS is one piece to the overpipe
-
I stand to be corrected but to rid of the torque dip it is better to decat the mani and keep the second cat.

Just booked on to this track day, only about a mile round but has fun corners, a change of elevation and a great café. http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/trackdays/Mallory-Park/Mallory-Park-11th-May-2018

Its a long way off for me but Museum of Power sounds awesome

I would say TC as well. The Snake Pass is pretty bumpy in places so when the car goes light the TC will kick in. Try it again in sport mode or whatever its called.

do you all reset the computer every trip? I have never reset mine and it reads 31mpg and that includes one and a half track days
