Indeed I have, very lucky indeed. Kit has looked after it very well and his current car is stunning.

Thanks Mark, yea you dont need to be Sherlock Holmes to figure this one out 🔍

Dunna worry, the report suggests it was one of those Hyundai thingies.

Well was looking for another 86 but when I got a quote for one I changed my mind. Its a shame insurance companies cant be bothered to deal with all the staged accident claims they pay out for, to cover their losses they just bump up everybodys premiums, how ever I might just give you guys a call -
Just at the auctions looking at an 86, 2014, 57k, fsh, leather, nav, cobra cat back, good primacys. The usual chips on the front and bonnet. Interior very clean. What do you all recon it might go for?

With the buyers fees it was well over 13k

Perhaps it is because I am a tight arse but I was hoping for a tad less

A replacement Mike, wishing I had never made a certain comment when I came to see you #ohbollox 🤕

If you turn it in to a ratter then I should think that it will be worth next to nothing and very difficult to sell

One of my quicker runs at the excellent Curborough sprint day on 30/6/16. The 4.67 final drive worked against me in a couple of places but I had a blast nonetheless

Just spotted these on fleabay, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-ADVAN-RACING-RG1-GOLD-5x100-ALLOY-WHEELS-WITH-TYRES-JDM/112017105244?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D37255%26meid%3Da6d54da4d74f4581a68c505b8cc07ff5%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D262488333596 Any idea if these will fit the centres? The seller has told me the wheels are from an Impreza GC8 so are therefore 5x100 but I am clueless about all things automotive, could have been off a steam train for all I know. He is bloomin keen to get my phone number though
-
Are spigot rings not essential then? Sent an email to the seller about the pcd being 5x114.3 and although it can be seen as such in one of the pictures he maintains that they are 5x100. He wants my phone number so we can talk about the wheels. Something doesnt feel right about them.

got it.....56.1

What size is the centre bore on the 86?
-
Thanks Deacon well spotted, I was getting sweet on these as measurespeed weighed them in at 6.9kg but that is no use if they cant be bolted on The search continues........

That is a big difference. Mine is within 4% of actual. Do you think your mods have thrown this off or was it always 15% off? Been giving this some thought and have come to the conclusion that as I haven't reset the average mpg since the beginning of the year, it is showing me an average of many miles including one if not two track days. The calculated 27mg at the pump was done on just one tank full and for a lot of that tank my driving style was some what spirited as I had just had the mods done but now I have calmed down a little I do seem to be getting a few more miles back from a tank. Recently I had a day at Cadwell where I saw the average drop from 32 to 25 mpg. A steady 90 mile drive home got it up to around 28 and now after a few weeks of my regular B road commutes It seems to have levelled out at 29.8 mpg. I don't think the mods have thrown it off it is how it has been calculated, the computer over a few thousand miles and my calculation over 280 miles. I should maybe reset the average next time I fill up and also calculate at the pump to get a more accurate result

I have had my standard 86 for 6 months and last week it went away to Tuning Developments for some upgrades. I have enjoyed every mile in my car and until I spent a day at Donington felt no need to change anything but that day at the track highlighted the lack of urgency and that torque dip we all hate. After lots of reading up here I spoke to Mike at Tuning Developments with the remit of making the car a more lively drive while keeping exhaust volume down and we came up with this solution TD Catless EL Manifold TD Overpipe K&N Panel Filter DSS Aluminium Propshaft Mfactory 4.67 Final Drive ECUTeK Remap TD Brake Kit The transformation of the power delivery is amazing. Throttle response is instant and the car pulls strongly from nowhere to the red line with urgency. As shown in the dyno chart the manifold and overpipe work really well with the stock second cat and cat back and on the road you can really feel it in the seat with only slightly more volume from the exhaust. I so pleased with how the mods have turned out and very happy that I chose Tuning Developments as their parts, attention to detail and customer service are second to none. Cheers Andy scan0001.tif

The prop shaft got pretty vibey at 86 mph, at 100mph it was unbearable so I spent some time indexing it. Now it vibes a little from 109-114mph. At 115mph it vibes unbearably but at 116mph it goes completely quiet. Its worth taking the time to index it if you are having this problem.

Hi Bert, I have nothing but good things to say about Mike and TD, transformed my n/a 86.

Im on conti 5, great on the road but I kinda miss the primacys for a bit of slippy slidey
