GT86/BRZ/FR-S Manifold/Headers From Tuning Developments

If something is worth it or not is very subjective. If cost isn't a factor then I would say yes it is but if the cost is then I would personally factor in the length of time the car is to be owned and what you want to get out of it. When used for competition and you are looking for 10ths then as you say cost almost goes out of the window. As for my car and helping others make decisions on mods..... Totally standard mine produced 184 HP at the fly. Unluckily for me this is at the lower end of the power range for this engine. The mods.... K&N drop in filter, TD decat EL Manifold, TD overpipe, Remap. Now producing 210 HP at the fly. That is a heathy boost of power and with the torque dip completely gone the car really leaps out of the corners. I have kept the rest of the exhaust system standard as I don't want more noise, it made 85db on a static test at Cadwell last week. Another bonus is that if I want to go turbo in the future then there is no need to buy another manifold as this one will support that -

What are the other changes, what numbers are you making (both stock and after mods), how does it drive and what is happening that makes you think you have a problem? -
Lookin mighty fine in silver

There speaks a man with his heart, I like that. Love what the TD mani has done to my car, linear power delivery from zero to the red line -
I spent the day at Cadwell yesterday and with Mikes brake kit (yellow pads, uprated lines and high boiling point fluid) I didnt lose much braking, in to Mansfield sometimes they faded but they soon recovered, the tyres gave in before the brakes. Never had a brake system that doesnt benefit from a pump

You are in, all we need now is a drummer Glad I'm not the only one here with GAS, I really need a clear out
-
I managed to get my head and 2x12, 2 guitars and all the bags of cables in the boot. Totally practical for the gigging musician. I recon we have enough folks for a club band now
-
😔 sorry to hear this, what a nightmare
-
Just a couple of things I have noticed is that I have lost 15-20 miles range out of a full tank, I am getting nearly 27mpg calculated at the pump, the on board reads 32. In regard to the FD and cruising speed in 6th gear, 3000rpm is 64mph, 3500rpm is 74mph

The mods work for me as I am not thinking of going FI any time soon. I can highly recommend the Ecutek remap, switching between the tuned map and the stock map is like night and day. Cheers A

I have just dome all the ECU, exhaust, drive train mods so wheels and suspenders will no doubt be next
-
Nice dude, now you have had the exhaust done get a remap. Just had miner done and the results in driveability are quite astounding
-
Hahaha, been through that a couple of times on my moto, come out the other side with a black vagabond face mask, always rode round it since then. Blue rocks silver any day of the week, keep em coming

I just love a road trip....have fun
-
I like this place already....Hello
-
You sure can Tareim
-
It was recomended and I thought it did help to give a bit more. What is best about it though is if you say overpipe in an authoritative voice it sound really cool
-
That would make good sense, save a bit of effort and a few bob too
-
You will love these mods, its really been transformed in to a free reving beastie. It is louder inside due to the propshaft but I have soon got used to it. I was talked out of the flywheel due to it being quite a lot of work
-
I am not hearing any FD noise, if there is any it is being masked by the one piece propshaft
-
It is a beautiful torque line and it feels fantastic on the road. the propshaft is very nearly half the weight of the standard which I am sure helps the motor spin up quicker. It would have been nice to have done these mods in increments as to feel the difference each part makes but it was logistically a pain to do so. I stand to be corrected as I am not knowledgeable on these things but I think the FD will increase the amount of torque produced but it wont change the shape of the curve

I dont the figures at the moment but Mike has told me that the base numbers were lower than average making the gains all the more impressive and for a na the car pulls amazingly well.
