The Activity button at top and bottom of page used to link to unread content but changed to All Activity. Is this something I've changed by mistake or a policy change. Makes it very unfriendly, esp. on phone.

As it's apart, I'm having new clutch and replacing spark plugs - will save labour in the long run, for either me or next owner. Trying to decide whether to keep or sell. I'll think on it for a few weeks before deciding.

Sorry, not sure how you can draw such a definitive conclusion from that. We all know people who smoke for decades with no obvious ill effects, until they die of lung cancer. Doesn't mean smoking's okay. FTR mine's been serviced on schedule with Toyota fluids. It was even at Toyota Platinum Bath on the Monday having coilpacks replaced - they gave it a Winter check including fluids. Four days later developed death rattle and went bang a few miles later.
-
Engine went bang. Oops! Engine's been stripped down and main bearings went. Steven Eagell Toyota Northampton have been excellent and sorted the warranty claim - half engine being fitted, hopefully before Christmas.

Is it only (or primarily) those with maps with increased rev-limiter?

All well and good if you're adept with a spanner. Most aren't these days.

Guilty pleasures. What would you give up your GT86 for?

Local guy on PH called petrolpat has a similar, spotless example. Love it. -

Alfa Tipo 33 Stradale - can't see it happening anytime soon though. -
Odd. Mine are a little over a year old and 13,000 miles and still great. I'm pretty anal about keeping screen and blades clean though, perhaps that's the difference.

Platinum Toyota's replaced both coil packs. Collecting it lunchtime. Under warranty again this time, but how much do we think this'll cost next time once the warranty's run out?
-
Probably not. Secondary cat should see you through. ETA - Just noticed in link they're removed that too, so you're probably right.
-
Mine's only 50-odd thousand but an early one - I took delivery 1 September 2012. Only other warranty issue I can remember was condensation in rear lights, so not too bad for over four years.
-
They suggested it may be the engine control module throwing the error, not coilpacks. Guess I'll know next week.
-
They say it may be engine control module and want to take a look to confirm. Booked in for Monday 28 November.
-
Have you seen this: ETA - I see you have.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. It's a straight swap for the OEM unit - i.e. same fittings and fasteners?

Not heard of this before. I'm north of 50,000 miles and no issue. ETA. *Touches wood*

That's the noise I have - not often, but sometimes. Never taken it in as I'm pretty sure that it'll behave when I get there.
-
Is this the infamous chirp? I think I may get it, but it's never been a big issue for me. More character building.

ECU will soon adjust itself. I wouldn't sweat it.
-
Are you running on tyres with a stiffer sidewall then? Ooer missus!

Don't know about that style, but I bought my OZ from Rimstyle. Pleasure to deal with.

FYI After speaking with a car audio specialist, he asked if I have a dashcam fitted, which I have. He suggested that the power cable for the dashcam may interfere with the windscreen aerial - and he was right. Reception is much better with the dashcam powered off. So much better I could probably live with it as-is now - but I'm going to upgrade to a proper aerial anyway as I don't like the cheapo shark fin I have currently.
-
I've fitted a nice new head unit but the stick on aerial in the windscreen is a bit pants. Any recommendations for a DAB aerial please? I may be making this up, but did I see somewhere that a mag-mount aerial inverted in the boot is a 'stealth' option?
