In the past we've met up beforehand nearby and convoyed in, I assume we will be doing the same again. I'd add yourself to the reserve list anyways as there tends to be quite a lot of drop outs as it gets nearer the date so if you're high up on the reserve list there's a high chance of getting in. -

Milltek managed to sort me out a free replacement fairly quick so I'm going to be running that through the winter now. You'll most likely be hearing from me next year though once I've saved up enough pennies to have a full system done -

@CGR Automotive Do you have any dB readings for these? Currently looking for possible replacements for my Milltek aka. Cracktek but don't want issues passing Bedford's low 87.5dB noise limit. -
Another vote for PS4's, they are miles better than v105's. They aren't the quietest you can get as @TTR said but I found them quieter than my old Yokos.

I've managed to do the same on mine so you aren't the only one. Still no idea why though.

Getting the quotes in. Recommendations welcomed.
HariboPenguin replied to Fenhopper's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Sky Insurance are pretty well recommended for modified cars. When I spoke to them they were very helpful, friendly and also don't charge for non-power mods, they were also the only other company that would quote me other than Adrian Flux. Only reason I didn't go with them was because AF matched their quote and included a few extras such as protected NCB and ability to drive other cars which clinched the deal. -

I'll be going, whether I go out on track will depend if Moris offer discounted insurance this time. -
Shambolic service from Adrian Flux.

I'm interested to see what they say regarding it changing / being mis-sold as I took out a policy through them a month ago also using ERS and was told that any modifications were free bar power increasing mods such as turbo or SC and didn't have any hassle adding on my coilovers last week. Maybe they have different policy levels / plans through ERS but if you was promised it originally then they should honor it for the full length of your policy. The problem is trying to prove it. -
This is a pretty decent one and it's shown in our car too so might help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3Qj1YZAebY He uses a similar technique to what I do and sort of rolls the edge of his foot onto the gas pedal rather than swiveling your heel onto it. Some people may say it's cheating but I've found that this way works a bit better for me on the road and achieves the same result. When I'm on track and have my race boots on though I have to swivel my foot as they are so thin I can't reach the gas pedal just by rolling my foot. The way I learned was mastering just rev-matching first and getting that near perfect and then moved on to heel and toe afterwards. It's one of those things where practice makes perfect, when I was learning it I ended up doing quite a few accidental emergency stops from pressing the brake to hard trying to do it. It's also much easier to do when you are on track as you are using 90+% of your brakes anwyays so if you press on a bit too hard it won't be as noticeable compared to slow speeds on the road where you are only using about 20% of the brakes for example.

Sure if you don't mind. I'll order you a new can in return.

Ah ok, does the ACF50 have to be applied to new stuff or can it be applied later down the line, although obviously not as ideal? If so, I'll get some and have it applied on the next service or inevitable mod install.

Thanks Lucas. Also just wanted to clarify that I don't have any problems with the service I received from you guys, it was excellent, your staff were very friendly and helpful and always kept me up to date with my order promptly. I was also pretty surprised how quick you got them in, I was expecting at least a week or so wait if not longer, not a weekend. I collected my set and the box was indeed in good condition from the outside and there was no way for you to know about the condition of the inside packaging without opening it up which as you said would void warranties etc... My only complaint is with Tein's poor packaging of their products. Oh and that my bank balance has dropped considerably because of your offers
-
Already booked mine in for fitting Friday morning so won't be able to get any in time. I was under the impression they already had some sort of coating on them anyways or is it just their coating isn't as good?
-
@Cerastes one of mine had fallen off inside the box too, so yours is most likely to have been lost at some point during shipping unfortunately. I think Tein could do with a bit more work on their packaging, my box was pretty beat up on the inside from them moving about and hitting the sides during shipping.

Na I didn't bother either, I have faith that RRG will be able to keep the OEM ones intact and as I can only lower the car a bit I don't think I really need adjustable ones.
-
Too late, I'd already found them on the site and ordered I'll be coming to pick them up tomorrow morning I'm picking my set up tomorrow and having them fitted at RRG Friday, will let you know how I get on.

FYI: Just had a call from part box, unfortunately they won't honour the extra 5% off coupon. Half expected this though so I'm not too fussed. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
