Cool, I'll try and get on that session too then once Silverstone have fixed their site. Hopefully my new brake kit will come in time to be fitted beforehand 🤞 -

I can't comment on the stock exhaust system as I had mine changed in the summer so never experienced cold days with it. But I have noticed mine does produce quite a bit compared to other cars in the recent cold spell too until the engine is up to normal operating temp. I've just put it down our cars having bigger exhaust piping / exits and aren't angled downwards or hidden under bumpers like most cars on the road. (Not sure if this is actually correct as my mechanical knowledge is pretty limited). I think mine might be a bit more prominent too as I've removed the 2nd cat. Cold starts on icy mornings produce quite a big cloud I don't think its anything to worry about, mine went in for MOT at RRG today and passed with flying colours.

HELP DETAILERS - Wheel cleaning advice please!!
HariboPenguin replied to Ade's topic in Cleaning & Detailing
I use Autobrite Britegel as my regular wheel cleaner and occasionally give them a blast of purple rain to remove any stubborn bits or if they are heavily dusted after a track day or something. Bitegel smells nicer than the rotten egg smell of purple rain too. Although they've recently changed the formula to make it smell nicer apparently so you might get one of the new nicer smelling ones if you only ordered yesterday. I've still got half a litre of rotten eggs to get through before I can try the new one. -
Brakes Coilovers Valenti Rear Bumper Light Wheel refurb (the paint on JR11's chip super easy) Repair door dings Upgrade speakers Maybe wrap the bit below the front grill black Compulsory detail and sealant top-up Win the lottery and buy a TD turbo kit (any donations are also welcome)

Welcome to the club! The car looks amazing, red's seem to be taking over the midlands at the moment. I've gotten into detailing since getting this car too, used to use a single bucket and sponge on my old car, now I have a cupboard full of detailing gear, an expensive hobby indeed. (worth it though)

Welcome to the club! The next few days are going to seem very long if you're anything like I was Post up some pics when you pick it up and I'll be sure to keep my eye out for you.

I've been trying to track down the thread for Japfest to put my name down and noticed the official events section isn't showing any threads? I managed to find the Japfest thread using the search but don't seem to be able to post a reply on it either? Guessing there is something wrong? Included some screenshots below to help. Thanks,

Yup, all sorted now by the looks of it Thanks

If you're with Admiral just say you got a lower price elsewhere, somewhere near the amount you'd be happy to pay and you are thinking of switching if they can't do a better deal, you'll be surprised how much they knock off. Got my renewal price knocked down by £150 last time I did mine. That said, I'm 21 with 4 years NCB and still paying £1250 with Exhaust and Wheels declared so I think you got one hell of a deal for your first year.

I should be able to make this now too☺️ won't be having food though Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

So after finding out it's only an extra £25 to get an exhaust added onto my insurance (was expecting £100's) I've been looking around for one and have pretty much decided on a Milltek system however I'm not sure about whether to get a res or non-res version. From videos I've seen online I prefer the sound of the non-res and leaning towards that but I'm worried about it being too loud and annoying neighbors etc and you can't fully tell how loud they are from videos. Can anybody who has one shed some light? Thanks

Unfortunately I won't be able to make this now, I'm more knackered after Bedford than I thought I'd be and not feeling another early start. Hopefully there will be another at some point I can pop along too ☺️ Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

Last minute question as I've never been on a track day before, I know you have to remove any loose items from the car but is there anywhere you can put these whilst out on track? I was too late to book to get a garage Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk -
Certainly worth a try, let us know how you get on.

Just wondering, have you blocked the noise generator tube? I had the same sort of thing after fitting my Milltek system and found plugging the tube helped quite a bit. You don't need anything special, I just plugged mine up with the 12v cigarette lighter cap from the glovebox.

HariboPenguin replied to surrey86's topic in Social Meets
Haha, I was thinking the same when looking through it, there's an Austin Allegro and an Alfasud on there too I'd be up for a passenger ride if you don't mind. Would be nice to see what the car can do in the hands of someone with more track experience than me and pick up some tips. Even if it will probably make me want a supercharger afterwards -
Count me in too 😊 Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
