It's been reported by a couple guys on the owners club that the Cosworth box now contains a Mishimoto thermostat.

To call a respected tuner's opinion 'utter crap', someone who that has probably fitted more modular exhaust systems than you or I have had hot dinners... most would consider a bit strong. There's such a thing as manufacturing tolerances where it may differ between different brands - please don't wack me with a keyboard.

GT86 BRZ Tuning Package from Tuning Developments

Do you guys keep the OEM intake resonator 'bulb' in place, given how close it must run to the up bend?- 231 replies

That's a bit strong. I agree it should all fit together nicely but there probably is slightly more chance of it sitting nicely first time if it's the same brand as they should have tested it.

I've got a Schroth Rallye 3. It's effectively a 3 point, mounts to the rear upper seat belt point on the pillar. It has ASM (anti submarining) so that your upper body still moves forward in a crash so don't think this would be Hans compatible.

BP Ultimate is 97 unless they've changed recently. I tend to avoid it as it used to be a dirty word on scoobynet when I had an Impreza. Given the amount of import Impreza's that had blown up using it there was a lot of suspicion it was often somewhat less than 97 octane.

Seems more like StancedUK rather than any handling improvements, but if that's what floats your boat they will look good stationary.

Tyre review article using a GT86 and comparing road tyres and semi slicks

Interesting that both the Sport Contact 5 and Pirelli P Zero are faster than the PS4 on a dry track. Sounds like there's been some placebo effect helping it's reputation on here. -
Has anyone used Continental Sport Contact 5's on track? I've got an almost new one on my spare wheel, so when my Primacies come up for renewal I could save some money by going for the SC5's and only needing to buy 3.

I liked RE050's on my Impreza but that was years ago now, Bridgestone seem to have been left behind a little.

Welcome Syd. I'll keep an eye out for you as I'm just down the road in Caterham.

I think you should cover up those brake light holes in the rear shelf as it looks unfinished as is.

I prefer sensors for the same reasons as Lauren, however think they look rubbish so would probably go for the camera.
-
It's not my problem, just suggesting what could be a common sense solution. But I think it's too late now.
-
Maybe you can try suggesting they add an addendum to allow PS4's this year, given the unusual situation. It can't be in the wider interest of increasing driver numbers in TSS to exclude cars with a popular performance tyre because of an admin issue.

HKS Panel Filter & Spark Plugs - Warranty void?
surrey86 replied to Tim86's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
If my engine was knocking I might consider making sure it had oem parts fitted at time of inspection for a watertight case. If the plugs are OEM equivalent it should be OK though. Shame Fensport don't use OEM service parts. -
Ah I see, makes sense.

Can't you get CGR to weld in another silencer? Seems a shame to sell a really nice exhaust.

I'm tempted by the Focals, but car audio is a very slippery slope! I ended up with full install in my old Civic Type R, which took lots of fiddling to get spot on, and I was forever chasing new rattles through the car. Properly sound-deadening and sealing the front doors as much as possible is key to good mid-bass.

The ST XTA's Adam has are more expensive than Flex A's? -
The oem pad smearing was visible on my discs yeah. I removed my front oem pads at 22k, expecting them to have loads left after reading here - and was surprised to find they were quite thin! If I'd have done another trackday on them it would have been an early finish to the day.
-
I'm not surprised you want that sorted out, shoddy repair.
-
Yeah Primacies are overpriced for what they are. Worst premium tyre I've driven on in the wet. I suspect you could get a tyre at half the price which would out-perform it in wet conditions. Shame as in the dry they feel well matched to the oem chassis.
