It makes sense that an aftermarket overpipe won't help, due to the proximity and loss of heat shield -
Ah, sorry I didn't read that properly. Don't fit the sways and at the same time as the suspension, you may well find you don't need them.
-
Ah yeah I forgot about you and your boutique dampers Jeff!
-
That's a pretty stiff setup, 7kg front and rear springs plus anti roll bars. I don't think anyone here is running such a hard setup for a dual use car. I found my set of PS4's great on track but the grip fell off massively with 4.5mm+ tread still remaining. Still fine for road use though.

I'm starting to think the camo wrap will be an official colour they've been carrying on with it for so long. -

Seems nuts they are expecting people to put £1000 down without even knowing what the price is. -

I'll try to meet you guys at the Shell, but don't wait for me. -
Congratulations Jeff

Its quite common for aftermarket headers to run the shield. It's not hard to fix what you've realised what it is though. Spacers or smack it with a hammer.
-
Welcome! The cobra non resonated is very loud to be fair.
-
The Superpro shift bush is cheaper and quieter than the Whiteline item.
-
Well if you went to a track you'd be able to start justifying all sorts of bits like oil temperature and pressure gauges, maybe an oil cooler, catch can. Maybe a couple of Recaros. But if it's road only you're better off saving for forced induction.
-
Probably biggest improvement would be replacing those slow V105's with a set of PS4's.
-
Thanks
-
I reckon a before and after onboard video would give a good comparison.
-
Be interested in seeing some photos of the super resonated, i.e. how big the resonator is and what it sounds like with a decat EL manifold.
-
Yeah sounds like you're looking for an excuse to blow some money on bolt-ons
-
Do you track the car or is it road only?
-
If he has a decat manifold without a remap it is obviously the O2 sensor throwing the code. They can take a few hundred miles to come on. When the EML light is on I've noticed it affects the traction control, seeming to make it more sensitive, and makes it come on even when you have turned it off.
-
Sounds great to be fair. I'm guessing it's a bit of a premium option as the parts aren't cheap, does look good though.

If it's any consolation I had a Fiat 500XL hire car in Spain this year and that was one of the worst cars I've ever driven.
-
Some bargain dates there, Saturdays as well. I'd be in there already but splashing out on a new kitchen in November.

Same here
