We normally only do full cages as TIG welded cages are more expensive to produce than MIG welded ones and generally it's only the motorsport market that can justify the difference, however if you're after a high-quality cage it's definitely something we could look at.
We use Inventor for smaller less intricate parts and for Machining routines as it's perfect for simple parts, and the laser scanning guys use Nikon focus software as well as Geomagic Design X which is probably the best CAD software around and allows reference to the mesh data provided by the scanning equipment. I believe you can scan straight into Geomagic without having to use the Nikon software too making it particularly efficient for the big files such as underfloors and engine bays
