Hi guys took my car into Toyota for 60k service,3am this morning the alarms going off and looks like they knocked or moved the rubber cup under the bonnet for the sensor,it looks like they have tryed to stick it back on with a white sticky pad to hold it? Can someone confirm if it’s held on by a sticky pad or meant to be?
-
I’m thinking maybe super glue that top rubber mount before it falls off, because I’m guessing if it falls off there’s then nothing to push on the switch and the alarm will just keep going, that sticky pad don’t look like it will last long
-
Wow not great design then
-
Just stock so nope not really 😂
-
I bent it slightly up and it got me tho the night without going off again but doesn’t seem like a good long term solution 🤔
-
so just recent ive noticed like a knocking sound coming from under the car when i reverse on a slope or hill, this is the only time it seems to happen very strange, anyone got any ideas?
-
i am on stock suspension yer, thinking about coilovers but heard the cv joints don't like it to much, creaking in past experiences is normally the top mounts,my cars only on 30k but heard drop links are rubbish
-
ive got no horrible sounds as such just a single knock sometimes when im on a slope in reverse, car went into toyota for service the other week and they couldnt see anything so cant be anything major, they changed the rear view mirror also under warranty as it was cracking up (common thing)
-
no i dont think its that as would be all the time if that was the case i would have thought, its only when sticking it in reverse on a hill or slope and its not everytime either,im sure i saw someone had the same kinda problem on here something to do with the body flexing underneath that was making the knock but im not sure

Hi guys I’ve just had valenti rears fitted on my car and the rear fog to match, just had a question about the v bar,I was under the impression it came on when the rear lights are on,but only seems to come on when the fog light is switched on?

i had this after the bad winter we had beast from the east part 3 etc, went to my local dealership and they offered a refurb, was only on one wheel funny enough, the rest were fine.

hi guys at the moment i have the HKS cat back exhaust, was looking at getting the complete system maniford and front pipe hks as well, the front pipe has no CAT but the maniford does, then was thinking a remap to get rid of the torque dip,my question is do you think it pass emissions mot test with the full hks system? as id only have the CAT in the maniford and the cat back which are both aftermarket? also do you think it would be really loud? as im not after loads of noise
-
ok thanks guys looking to find some gains NA route,i know its not easy,i also hear induction kits are pointless as well
-
i just wanted to keep the whole system HKS but the front pipe they only do as a no CAT,so guessing id need a CAT in the maniford at least otherwise it would just fail MOT? even with a CAT on the maniford and the cat back im not sure if it would pass tbh
-
i have the HKS Hi-Power Spec-L cat back
-
In the market for a exhaust system - One that isn't too loud!

Hi guys I brought my gt86 with just 2000 miles on the clock it's a 65 plate, the coolant when I brought it was on the max level, now 6 months later I noticed its dropped to just below half, should this be happening? Do they use a bit of coolant or could this be a possible problem? Thanks in advance 👍
-
cheers guys will have to keep a eye on it,i doubt its anything to worry about,i had celicas for the last ten years, and my gen 7 celica had to have a new water pump as they are prone to it,dont know if the 86 suffers same problem, will just check it regular and keep a eye

so ive been looking around at various rear tail light options as the standard lights look a bit lexus old skool,i quite like the look of the valenti rear lights, however i have read some where about manufacturer problems and storys of buddy club rear lights melting? so a few questions number 1 - are the toms rear lights the best to go for or do they suffer with problems as well? number 2 - do these lights need any wiring up or is it just a case of fit and plug in? number 3 - do these aftermarket lights still get condensation that the OEM ones suffer from? oh and last question, what would look best on a red aero ha ha p.s dont want the smoked ones
-
sorry maybe a silly question but do these stickers go on the outside of the glass or the inside? just thinking if its on the outside when i wash the car they will come off?
