Hi RichM, Thanks for your reply and the information it contains. It doesn't make exciting reading, but I have to say that RRG Macclesfield have come up trumps with service and spares every time, even though they are Toyota dealers. I'll see how I go. Regards, Barry. -

Very reluctant sale of my 2013, 32,000 mile Subaru BRZ due to my health issues not improving sufficiently. This hugely enjoyable (Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) BRZ is now available for sale. RRG Macclesfield have looked after this car since I bought it in May 2016. They installed a Milltek exhaust and Blitz air cleaner, which have combined to make the mid-range more tractable in this willing, revving engine. I live in Greenfield about 15 miles east of Manchester, although we could discuss meeting elsewhere. The car has a space saver spare wheel. The car is in excellent condition, WR Blue paint, save a few stone chips to the paintwork as is to be expected in four years. Please see attached photos. I am pricing the car for sale at £9,970 ovno, which makes it a very affordable fun car for road and track. Four years old and less than £10K. The cherished number (T4 PGD) – Two Door, 4 Cylinder, Pleasure Going Driving is available by negotiation. Full 30,000 mile service by RRG on 23rd June 2017 and new MOT from 3rd August 2017. The standard numbers are as follows: Engine: 1998cc 4-cylinder Boxer engine. 12:1 compression ratio. BHP – 197 @7000 rpm Torque – 151 ft/lbs @ 6400 – 6600 rpm. Maximum speed – 140 mph (224kmph) Acceleration – (0-62 mph): 7.6 seconds. First registered: 25/02/2013 First registered in UK: 01/08/2015 Previous keepers on V5C: 2 since February 2013. Thank you for all the previous posts, which I found interesting and which helped me make a decision. I ordered a Blitz SUS air cleaner and a Milltek non-resonated exhaust, both of which were fitted two days ago by RRG Macclesfield. Yesterday we went on a club run through lanes in Lancashire, ending up at the wonderful Fred Dibnah Heritage Centre in Bolton. We used motorways, A and B roads and even lanes to get there. We found the sound levels on each of those types of road much more realistic of a proper sports car - we were in the company of Aston V8, Frogeye Sprite, TR6's, TR7 and an XK 150! Yes, it's louder on start-up, but what a lovey sound! Not only that, but I found the driveability was much improved throughout the rev ranges used on such a variety of these different roads. My car is a JDM BRZ and it was welcomed by Richard McKay and his team at RRG, even though they are Toyota dealers! They were most helpful both for the ordering and fitting and also for the service I had the previous week, so Thank You guys and to Lauren for recommending them in the first place. Happy motoring! Barry.

Thanks Test Drives Unlimited. There's nothing visible on the rear bumper and the sound doesn't vary with closeness to an object behind. Barry.

Thanks knightryder. The only buttons I have are Odo/trip and Disp. There is a blank above them - is that where your miles/km button is? Barry.

Hi Lauren, Many thanks for your interesting and prompt reply. As you'll probably know from your experience in Japan, the lights and indicators are on the right with wipers/washers on the left stalk. That was exciting until I got used to it again - they were like that on my 1963 Cortina Mk 1 GT all those years ago! Other differences: as you say the spec is more basic, but some of it I like, such as having a key to start it, rather than a push button thingy (dates me, though!!). There is no spoiler at the back and whilst it's a very personal choice, I actually prefer the cleaner lines. I got a space saver spare wheel with it, although I had to negotiate for it - it wasn't standard. I've bought locking wheel nuts and a boot lid sound deadener, neither of which was supplied. The car is such fun, it's all been worth it and as you say, 'll get used to the kms and on continental trips it's actually an advantage. Regards, Barry.

Hello everyone, I've recently bought a Japanese grey import BRZ, which has some exciting differences and some plain tedious ones! The most tedious is that there is an internal beeper that comes on when reversing. It's not even useful like a truck one - it doesn't warn anyone outside the vehicle and frankly, I've been driving long enough to know when I've selected reverse! Does anyone know how to disable this noise? Everything on the rev counter display is in kms. Can this be changed using the dealer's laptop or does it mean a new head unit? I'd be grateful for any help on these two points. Many thanks, Barry.
