Hi all, long time lurker here. I've owned my '86 for two years now and warranty is up soon, so 'it's time' so to speak . I've been compiling a list of modifications for my project and had a few basic questions. First off, i currently have 4x 57C6 18x9.5 wrapped in Yokohama 105's for the street and set of MeisterR ZetaCRD+, so i'm pretty much covered for extra tyre, brakes to come. I have an AT, so hopefully won't be needing transmission mods for 300 whp? I'm looking at AVO turbo Stage 3 Billet from fensport with the following support mods: 3 bar map sensor, Electronic boost control via Ecutek, Avo Turboworld Race Breather System, Forge Dumpvalve, Mishimoto Thermostat, Heat Wrap, spark plugs, Ecutek Map and License. 1) Will i need an oil cooler & gauge? 2) Is 300whp achievable on the stock 2.5" exhaust system if i buy a front pipe w/high flow second cat? is 3" 'absolutely necessary'? 3) If i went HKS v3 SC instead of turbo, bar the manifold (which i already have) what _necessary_ support mods am i looking at? Again, with a 300whp target. 4) If i track the car on the Turbo setup during british summertime am i likely to run into heat issues regardless of the support mods mentioned? I see loads of this from turbo users on usa forums but that's factoring in the Cali heat. I'd probably only track two or three times a year but don't want to be having to wait for temps to cool frequently. Thanks

Too late, i found an AVO stage 3 billet with race breather and dump valve for just £2000, with 20k miles and previously fitted at fensport. They are gonna fit and tune tune so that will be taken care of responsibly. I'm not after more than 270/280 as don't want to risk the stock block either. Obviously i'll be buying one of these coolers before i track it

You are, I was told to avoid. If you go on ft86 speed factory you'll see that the tints and colors are different. Spoke to Dan @ fensport last year he said the cheap ones were replicas.

Do not buy, they are cheap replicas & you'll have condensation issues. Also factor in that if you want ones that don't look ricey then you'll have to go authentic anyway as they don't sell the full red ones. I almost fell for this too last year. Wouldn't touch em.

Hi all, I'm selling my HKS 4-2-1 EL manifold. The best NA mod you can do for HP gain, or perfect alongside a supercharged setup. Brand new/never fitted complete with gaskets and documents. Can post or you can collect in Norfolk. Proven to be one of the best headers on the market for peak output. This would cost you 930 inc vat at Fensport. £600, drop me a PM.

Had it in yesterday for inspection. They suspect that it's either a fuel pump or vacuum pump issue. No problems with the spark plugs either as they are a service part.. handy incase anyone is interested in getting their 60k service done at Fensport or similar in future.

Hi guys, I've an HKS air filter and OEM equivalent spark plugs (stock grade) in my GT86 and need to get the engine looked at under warranty. Was just wondering if this is going to void my warranty?

Could anybody technically minded chime in and let me know if a spark plug can contribute to rocker arm or fuel pump issues?

Right ok, well i took the car to the dealer for them to look at a while ago, they wanted to see me replicate the issue. Spoke to them since and they want to bring the vehicle in for a full inspection of the car, couple of hours with the mechanics. Then will let me know whether it will be a warranty case. Fingers crossed, otherwise that cost will delay the turbo going on

Eek! Crossing fingers and toes then. Slight knocking coming from the engine, could be a fuel pump or rocker arm. Actually first heard it before it was serviced and these parts were installed, but dismissed it at the time.
