    TAROX BBK Review so far

Update 2 I've not done much driving since, or nothing significant to warrant an update but the weather forecast was so good this weekend just gone that I felt the need to give the car a much needed wash and took a drive out to portsdown hill, squeezing in a few B roads of course as the A3 is dull as hell . Portsdown hill was busy given the weather and the fact it was mothers day contributing. I was deprived of awesome photography opportunity but made do with the space I had. Perhaps if the Mrs got her arse out of bed earlier the day would have worked out better on that front and the sun would have been facing the right way!! Safe to say that the brakes are great, they saved my bacon on the way down after hitting standstill traffic from xxx mph the car came to a perfect halt in what seemed like mere seconds Clearly a bit of warmer weather and dry tarmac is what was required to make them shine! Despite me not really being able to afford it, having driven the hybrid for a couple of weeks and going back to this yesterday for a drive it's got me all excited and i'm becoming increasingly vulnerable to the IABTSS (I Accidentally Booked TSS). Though I will only be going But over the course of the day braking was great, a lot more progressive than my previous brakes which is nicer for road driving but they still stop when putting your foot down that little bit harder. Think i'll also be taking the car out for a trip to wales at some point in the coming months, I also wouldn't mind getting more pictures of the car without the stripe, it's growing on me! I think I prefer it? Obligatory edit below to show off the brakes Though the spokes get in the way, when I get the rays on they will show better.

Whining engine noise. Increases with RPM

I'm probably not the best gauge as I have a supercharger but I think I know what noise it is and I have it too I think. Though the car hasn't broken yet so it can't be urgent.
  5. Pity I can't fine an R-Magic wing clone or i might have given it a go SARD is on there though
  6. Time to kick off the SE Socials, i'm posting it up as Dan is off sunning himself in Jamaica, hopefully he comes back burnt and looking like a lobster and we can all take the piss. Those who are regulars will know the Lion Inn well, good food and fairly large carpark. Midday for a Carvery & some tyre kicking. Names Below please, I will need to book a table so please left me know by Wed's 8th if you can make it. Date: 19th March, 12PM Location: The Lion Inn, Main Rd, Boreham, Chelmsford CM3 3JA
  7. Yeah he is he's the one that phoned them
  8. Yep still on, they wouldn't let us book a table so i suggest we get there early and eat at 12 as opposed to kicking tyres then strolling in later when it's busy.

Some advice on upgrading the speakers

Around £1500 by the time it landed in the UK, the focals are plug and play though if you want an easy option. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Focal-IS165TOY-Component-Speakers-Fortuner/dp/B010TR7NBM They are two ways and fit directly. I've fitted them in to Sarahs GT86 with Keith. No, the OEM+ kit is tuned to reduce trim vibrations it's not required.

Some advice on upgrading the speakers

Focals are worth the punt. You're welcome to sit in my car at a show and listen to my OEM+ install which is fairly plug and play. There's only one bit of crimping to do and that's the fuse from the battery.
  11. Funny you should say that, it's showing a pub in Croydon for me! Guess i ought to remove the rogue map which is clearly pointing to the closest establishment to people with "lion" in it's name

    How much would you pay?

It doesn't help of course that it seems to not be a private sale, they are generally more anyway. You can't compare a trade sale to private sales as trade sales only compare to other trade sales. Seeing GT86's for these price makes me wonder why I didn't just buy a 2nd one

    Club hoodies

Fixed... it's been like that for a while probably explains the lack of hoodie orders.

    Club hoodies

Unless I've buggered the permissions up you should see the zipped one here... The likelihood that I've buggered the perms up is probably high so let me know and I will sort it later.

    Club hoodies

Available in the store @Neal though they no longer come with the printed back. If there is interest in printed ones we can do a run it's just a massive PITA doing so many colours.
  18. Hi All, it's bound to piss it down at car shows as seems to be the norm, and this is 100% the go to fashion accessory for this year. (Confirmed by Gok Wan) Before these get added to the store I wanted to offer a group buy on these. I got one as a sample and wore it at Brand Hatch in January and it was super warm whilst not being overly thick! GT86 Drivers Club Regatta waterproof insulated jacket Fabric Information Waterproof Hydrafort 5000 peached polyester fabric Windproof fabric Taped seams Polyester lined Thermo-Guard insulation 110 GSM body insulation wadding weight Special Features Concealed hood with adjuster Stormflap with hook and loop Adjustable cuffs Inside pocket 2 zipped lower pockets Adjustable shockcord hem Shaped fit (women's only) Introductory pricing for these will be £45 including postage or you can pay £40 and collect at a meet. I'll run this price until the end of the month for those interested. Mens size available between 36-50" Womens size available between 32-46"
  19. I can't say i've crash tested it in such harsh conditions but it should keep you dry! It's waterproof and in my opinion quite breathable. It's not particularly the thickest of coats but it surprisingly kept me warm at brands hatch and it was freezing there. Can't comment too much on if it will keep you from getting too sweaty in the summer, there's probably slightly more ideal ones out there for summer.

    Robs S/C GT86 Project

I love doing these threads, gets you all excited Will post everything tomorrow DYNO Plots:
  23. Might be worth changing it for the weekend after if it's easier for people? I know Dan can make this weekend coming but if we can double the numbers can wait a week.

    Phone ban - watch out...

I get the change, but I think it's utterly moronic to completely ban devices that use the internet. Waze is my go to satnav and I simply refuse to use anything else. Where does this leave me? Without a license and no money basically! I hope there can be some sensibility to this but I think police will be on a power trip for the next 6 months.
