HELP DETAILERS - Wheel cleaning advice please!!
rob275 replied to Ade's topic in Cleaning & Detailing
Use a fallout remover such as IronX or Autobrite Purple Rain. Other brands are available Try not to breathe it in, it's potent! Clay bars can also be handy. -
They can't even get their current stroker kit right it seems, so they have some work to do
-
Seems like a fair waste of money unless you're on easily adjustable height suspension such as bags.
-
It will handle a 40mm drop i'm sure.
-
As long as you dont put too much throttle in on bends it's perfectly fine putting down power in this cold weather and of course changing gear in a turn is asking for trouble. I'm supercharged and it does spin a lot more sure but nothing that can't be managed.
-
Welcome to the club (again), hope to see you at Japfest.
-
The 0% finance that has ended up in my name, dafuq is life. @TomG Welcome to the club
-
@chris_9011 That's there all my OEM bits are for now.
-
Honestly you're going to find it hard to sell, there's simply not really a market for this kind of OEM part and you may aswell keep it.
-
Seems to be the case, i'd drop it in to Toyota if I was you.
-
Not had this issue myself, does the back seat lay back properly despite it being stuck in?
-
@Bfranklyn86 Unfortunately we had some issues on the dyno, the car was losing power. I won't go in to too much detail just yet until we find out what the problem is exactly. Though we think we may know, we need to sort some time to test this theory.

That's almost as if it was designed with an extinguisher in mind lol. Armrest will cover it up aswell I imagine if there's enough room to close it.
-
Yes there's a VSC and TRC button, TRC will need to be held for 3 seconds to turn it fully off otherwise it will only be off under 30mph (which actually should be fine if you're just trying to get out of a rut)
-
You'll find it will go nowhere and spin on the spot unless you turn traction control off, also make sure you scrape your drivers window thoroughly before opening the door otherwise you will end up with a window which doesn't go up properly. Sure there's a reset but it makes more sense to prevent it from cutting out to begin with. If it's snowy it's unlikely you will get up the hill

Welcome to the club I do indeed recall seeing that MR2 at JAE, we share our stand with IMOC for the added social factor. Midlands is beginning to get rather busy with 86's and BRZ's lately! Hopefullly see you at some point. Also thumbs up for the five axis
-
It will be interesting to see what power this puts out! Probably not as much as we would all hope mind you.
-
He's developing it on N/A also. It's developed by Greddy primarily for N/A. Though unsure if N/A development is done and maybe they are testing with F/I now? cba to investigate
-
Manifold was designed with a F/I change in mind later down the line with a built engine. You're right the sprintex is on it's limits. I'm not particularly chasing for more power with this system, nevertheless it will be interesting to see results. I'm already overcharging the blower and although it's been running fine, it's anyones guess as to how long the engine will last. It could be fine or it might go bang on the dyno. (Which is why i'm currently sat on auto trader eyeing up Lexus CT200h as a run around) lol

Welcome to the club shame you only get it for 6 months

There are statistics, but this isn't publicly available. It's shared amongst insurance groups.

@kacpr It depends how anal you are about the paintwork. Ginger is relatively easy to match so they shouldn't need to blend in. But as Rich said, they may want to just so that it's right first time (It doesn't cost that much more anyway)
-
There isn't anything you can really do other than respray. You could fill and wet sand but it will still be noticeable.

Presume picture permissions where they are hosted is not set to public?
