    Modification, Warranty Issues

well you won't be affecting your warranty with any of that anyway really. So you're fairly safe Normally its the silly things that need warranty cover, door seals etc and you aren't going to be replacing them with rubberized carbon fibre... lol

    Modification, Warranty Issues

Generally you only void the warranty on what you mod, goes without saying really. So if you change your suspension, you can safely assume they aren't going to warranty them... You wouldn't lose your engine warranty or paint warranty for example... What was you looking at doing?
  12. I put my name down for a carbon one but the painted ones are growing on me arghhhhh!

    My Insurance situation

My springs/shocks and wheels do not add any power to my car, yes they still proceed to charge me for them yet will not replace them if damaged in an accident/collision. I'm not disputing the price, i'm disputing the fact that they are willing to add a premium, yet will not replace. They choose to insure me on the basis there is a risk I will have an accident, I understand that. But if they are to add a premium due to a few cosmetic mods etc which quite frankly is neither here nor there with regards to performance, do you not agree they ought to cover these parts like for like? I fully expect to pay more on a performance car of course, it goes without saying. But they should assess risk on the driver, not just the car. Which is precisely why I went with sky, they couldn't care less that I've stuck some wheels on etc because they know it doesn't make an ounce of difference. Yes i've paid more for my S/C and it goes without saying, it increases performance substantially, but at least they will replace it. I know why they do it, because they want money, but my opinion is that it's wrong.
  18. So I phoned my insurers (Admiral) and the inevitable has happened, they don't insure anyone with superchargers or any FI. So why the f*ck is it listed on your site? tools. So i compared the market, I do this not for the best deal but to get average prices. Bet came back £1306 22, 23 in feb with 4 years NCB in an area that is regrettably getting a worse crime rate by the day. I phones Sky and Luke managed to get a quote of £1280, reasonable? I'm currently paying £780 all mods declared with admiral, I'm not sure how much it would generally up the price. I assume its a fair hike due to my age and the shitty area.

    My Insurance situation

The risk should be on the driver not the car, poor excuse for them to use imo.
