Hi Kirsty, welcome to the club. There is also the Primo model, but as you're looking at 2nd hand, it's unlikely you will find one unless it's a dealer demo. I wouldn't even consider it though, it really is the basic of basics! Sounds like you just want a Black GT86, preferably with leather. Shouldn't be too hard to find one of those. Things to look out for when buying: 1st to 2nd gear issues, I think they all suffer to some degree when cold, but some worse than others. Try to find one that goes in relatively easily Condensation in rear lights, it's covered under warranty, but may as well make sure it's sorted before you drive away Window scratches, not sure if anyone else had had this issue but some foam falls off inside the door and every time you wind the window down it scratches it lightly, this is a recurring problem for me but covered under warranty also obviously. plenty of other things to look out for but I can't think, i just got back from a meet and need to thaw out...

pfft, rulebenders

He wouldn't be allowed to compete in the TSS, it needs to be a Toyota or Subaru engine from my reading of the rules, despite pro class allowing conversions section G also states the block must be toyota or subaru. Unless of course they are counting Lexus as Toyo for one reason or another

Should only take a day to get them in at most places. Not particularly near me as i'm in Coulsdon so the places I was going to mention bare no significance

Good stuff Rich, I'll add you to the list. Welcome along to the club, even if the weather isn't good, it's an excuse to have a quick pint and a chat

Where abouts in Surrey are you? Any tyre place should be able to get them. I know a few near me that can get them no problem. Or just order them online. Also welcome to the club.

Looks like you've gone balls deep on this I'm assuming those wheels are temporary or are you planning on chucking some spacers on when you get the arches on? Bags have come a long way since the early years, or so i've heard. You could track them if you have the right setup. Either way, welcome to the club

TSS ventures up north for a trip to what is a lot of people favourite venue in Croft Circuit, Darlington. Starting and finishing on the start/finish straight we run almost the entire unaltered circuit bar a few hundred metres which means those who are commited can make big gains in Crofts fast sweeping corners before negotiating the hairpin for a clean finish. We are able to use Croft by using a day that would normally be unavailable to us by utilising careful noise management. This means that noise is strictly monitored at this venue as individuals can push the average noise levels up and spoil the event for everyone so those who are taking part in the preceding rounds should be well aware by this point if they need to carry out some work on the car before attending this round. Drivers who are found to be causing a problem will be removed from the event so the quieter everyone is the better the event will run so the whole series should try and ensure their vehicles are as quiet as can they can be. Circuit Length – Approx 1.9 Miles Competiton Licence* – Available for purchase at signing on for £5 per individual event or £15 for the year Competition Plates, Numbers & Sticker Packs* – Available for collection at the events only at a one off cost of £10. You are required to display competition plates with your competiton numbers on your doors throughout the event along with the series sponsor stickers. We advise that you mount your stickers on magnetic plates if you wish to remove them between events Helmet Hire* – Available on the day for £15 *Please note that all transactions on the day are cash only Purchase Entry

TSS goes overseas and travels abroad to the island of Anglesey for it’s first ever event outside of England. Anglesey Circuit is a new additional to calendar for 2016 and well worth the trip, you’ll be able to tackle the circuits challenging corners whilst enjoying the scenic views. TSS will be sharing this event with the Javelin Trackdays Sprint Series so this means that entries for each series will initially be limited so they are shared equally between them so we advise you to get your entry in ealy so as not to miss out. Circuit Length – TBC Competiton Licence* – Available for purchase at signing on for £5 per individual event or £15 for the year Competition Plates, Numbers & Sticker Packs* – Available for collection at the events only at a one off cost of £10. You are required to display competition plates with your competiton numbers on your doors throughout the event along with the series sponsor stickers. Woodbridge Airfield in Suffolk has been a staple for the TSS calendar since 2008. The layout resembles a rally stage in nature more than a circuit with by far the most corners of any of the venues, from tight and twisty sections to fast sweeping corners it has a little of everything and rewards the braver drivers to are willing to attack it. The track dips in and out of the hangar complex and although very open the small bushes at the side of the track can make it feel narrow at times but give the driver a greater sense of speed than anything else on the calendar. As it’s an airfield we have an almost endless number of configurations we can use so the circuit is rarely exactly the same every visit, cones and plastic blocks are used to define the track but only at junctions. Using a lot of the normal trackday circuit layout means the surface gets regular use to scrub the surface (you can even clearly see where the track goes by looking at a satellite view of the airfield) but the track being used gets cleaned using our Hurricane blower beforehand to make it as clean as possible. Circuit Length – Approx 1.3 Miles Competiton Licence* – Available for purchase at signing on for £5 per individual event or £15 for the year Competition Plates, Numbers & Sticker Packs* – Available for collection at the events only at a one off cost of £10. You are required to display competition plates with your competiton numbers on your doors throughout the event along with the series sponsor stickers. Blyton Park in Lincolnshire has become a series regular since it first appeared on the calendar back in 2011. At the time it was a somewhat dirty bit of concrete using bales and tyres to mark out a course on what was left of the runway and was closer to a rally stage than a sprint course. That winter however the circuit was transformed by a new owner and a large investment into the drivers playground it is today, the concrete surface of the airfield is still in place but now it serves as runoff for the silky smooth surface of the tarmac layed into it. This means that the venue has the benefits of a race circuit but without the barriers that come with it allowing drivers to explore their limits knowing they have that forgiving extra runoff. Blyton Park also boasts several confirgurations after further tarmac was layed over the past few years meaning the two appearances on the calendar provide more than enough variety to warrant the extra visit. Circuit Layout – TBC Circuit Length – Approx 1.6 Miles Competiton Licence* – Available for purchase at signing on for £5 per individual event or £15 for the year Competition Plates, Numbers & Sticker Packs* – Available for collection at the events only at a one off cost of £10.

It seems that the 86's that have had a rough life seem to come up trumps against those that have been driven lightly. As long as it's checked over and the price is right, I wouldn't be too fussed about it. After all, it's got 4 years left and as Lauren has rightly pointed out, if anything is going to go wrong, it's likely to be sooner rather than later...

tbh most my miles are to and from work, short journey of 4.5miles each way... and town driving. Plus it includes all my track days in that figure, hence why it's low. Plus i drive the car
