Thanks there is another specific car that I would like to buy before it sells (that does fit children better) if this falls through will make the gt86 work for a bit longer.

Have lowered the price down after researching others for sale at now at £11500, I think this is the cheapest manuel HPI clear example for sale, given it has about £2000 worth of modifications I think it's a good deal. (Note the low price reflects the speed of sale required not the condition of car which is excellent).

My much loved gt86 is for sale, due to growing children forcing my hand to get something with more practical rear seats. Its the higher spec model with half leather (fully black) heated seats, it has full Toyota service history (most recent one this week) 64000 miles and also a full MOT till April 2019. It's in very good condition and is always garaged and only used for social use, (as walk to work). Modifications are as follows. Sard rear wing (or stock if preferred) Custom front splitter Valenti rear lights Tein springs (recent geo) Performance friction Z brake pads Invidia 300 exhaust XXR 550 wheels (continental sport 4 tyres) Car is located just north of Milton Keynes, and I would like £11500 ONO hoping for a quick sale to purchase another vehicle I have seen.

Personally I often buy cars from ads with poor spelling and grammar, as being dyslexic myself I know that good written English has very little to do with the ability to maintain a car. However back to topic, OP sounds like you understand a new one will loose approx £10k+ during the first 3 to 4 years based on price of 2014 cars quoted. If your happy with this then go for new as can pick spec more easily. By comparison a used GT86 would prob only loose a fraction of this and will make more sense of you want to modify too.

Looks nice enough, I always think trouble with advertising on forum is most people already have one though, what are you planning on moving onto out of interest?

I have tein 25mm lowering springs comfort is ok over bumps etc (not really any worse than stock, but would agree they do feel like they bonce slightly at speed over small bumps in road (slight lack of dampening, more noticeable at rear than front and most noticeable at motorways speeds.

If you haven't already seen it watch " B is for build" on YouTube. He has diy rebuilt 2 BRZs both from far worse crash damage, may be good for motivation and a few tips.

I am assuming snow may prevent this from happening now anyway. (Anyone local to confirm how much snow there is currently).

Is splitting the tein flex from the edfc something you would consider (happy to exchange my stock suspension, or lower springs and shocks, have both) for the tein coilovers without the edfc at a lower price?

Fine with me assume will meet at 2.30ish now instead.

If a C class is also on the list I doubt you want a gt86. (Also owned a C class coupe, when doing more miles) they are totally different cars. The gt86 is way more fun but less refined on long trips. The golf GTi is the middle ground on your list. The gt86 is a great car but not for everyone it's for people who value how a car drives above luxury and refinement.

Just run the PFC z pads on the front and stock pads rear (well mintex patten replacement ones which were even cheaper). Front does about 90% of braking anyway so not really going to notice the rears not matching. (Works well for m.on track and road).

Are you at the pistonheads Sunday service meet? If so I will take one of the cosworth filters for £10 if you can bring it along? -
Just signed up too, looks like gt86s will be well represented in number again.
