I know............. Not sure what your point is? Just because they’re not common doesn’t mean there aren’t any out there that people may be contemplating getting rid of.... I have a lot of rare parts on my car, doesn’t mean that I’m wedded to them for life.... -

Yes you’re overthinking it 😂 don’t pull off changing gears. Weird, I never even thought of doing that in my auto but do it obviously instinctively in my manual

Some help and advice please, winter tyres/alloys

I’ve got the Nokian wra4s on jeff’s advice in a bunch of other places - really pleased with them. But as mya said, I find them a bit crap above 12ish - they spin up really easily and the grip doesn’t seem quite there. Winters get later each year imo, I’m planning on switching mine back in late March (weather dependant). Wouldn’t want to be on them all year. -

Will do - I’m getting everything together (including money 😂) so will be a few months before I’m ready to firmly book for the manifold etc package and final drive, but will definately be in touch closer to the time, as I do have a few questions! -

Thanks for your reply, that’s really helpful. I was thinking something which changes the shifting rpm when in auto mode might be quite useful, and something around throttle response when in manual mode. Seems like he’s done a few autos so he should know what is and isn’t possible :-) the economy one might have been useful last week when I was running on empty waiting for shell’s double points deal! Funny you mention final drive - that’s on my to do list either at the same time as the TD ‘torque dip’ package or slightly after, depending on labour cost. Was thinking of going slightly higher though at 4.88, but it means importing from America, which is slightly irritating. Just don’t know if 4.67 will deliver what I’m after :-\ too many options! -

@VAD17 which maps did you go for? As another auto owner, I’m struggling to see the relevance of the 4 “regular” maps (flat foot shifting, launch control etc. Crap fuel map is irrelevant for me as it’s never gonna get crap fuel 😂). Would be interesting to hear what you got. As Lauren asked - is there any particular reason you had your coolant hose wrapped in titanium? I was thinking of upgrading those to silicone hoses. -

Greenlight don't insure cars over 20k though Brentacre are pretty good - anything which doesn't increase performance is no extra cost (includes exhausts, spacers, lowering springs, coilovers too etc), you just let them know you've put it on :-) -

Nooo don't tell me that! I have to stop myself from engine braking too much too, feels like once it goes wrong in an auto, it's never not expensive
