Great view, love that Alfa - I used to be an Alfa (and Lancia) man myself, but had to settle for a Guilia Super, for several years. Wish I had it now though

WANTED: Aftermarket Steering Wheel
ivorh964 replied to DaveJenks95's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
That looks nice Max! I like that matching carbon, (replacing the original silver trim beneath the airbag) - could be tempted to do something similar, on my re-profiled wheel, possibly with a mid-grey alcantara at the top and/or bottom ? -
WANTED: Aftermarket Steering Wheel
ivorh964 replied to DaveJenks95's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Hi Dave. Are there many after-market wheels available for the GT and do any of them retain the cruise control? I find the original (leather ??!) wheel too fat and am currently 're-profiling' this steering wheel, which I will get re-trimmed, probably in soft leather and/or alcantara. Cheers Ivor -
Hi spikyone, welcome to the club! We've only recently joined but very impressed so far with everyone we've met - they're a friendly crowd. Lots of knowledge and advice out there (if needed). Hopefully meet you soon, cheers

Hi Tareim Not sure if you're sorted out, but I was at a breakers in Essex on Saturday and they had a pair of front cloth seats, looked VGC but partly covered. He was asking £200 the pair, but possibly negotiable Cheers Ivor

I also loved the look and feel of that smaller/thinner 2017 steering wheel ! I've added a small fat black elastic band around the standard volume control of my 2013 GT86 - not very scientific but it makes it easier/quicker/safer to grip and use, whilst driving!

Was anyone else at the Rallyday 2016 event at Castle Combe in September? I was initially co-driving and managed some track laps at the end of the day (not in my GT86 though - although there was one circulating) It was good to see this Rally GT86 in the flesh Video below - GT86 followed by spectacular Fiesta Rallycar demo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQJTVIfZjTE

Hi there - I know I'm a bit late to this thread, but I've only recently joined the club as have only had my GT86 for a few months (love it obviously!). The gearbox/gearchange symptoms described are very similar to my experiences so far. Gearchange seems to work best/smoothest when driving quickly above 4,000 rpm or so. Driving 'normally' (up to 3,500 to 4,000 rpm) or in slow moving traffic, requires concentration and skill, to ensure smooth progress, especially as the clutch has a very small operation range, ie. it is either on or off! I have driven several of these cars and they all seemed to have a high 'bite point' and short clutch travel, so I thought it was just me needing to get used to the nuances of this Toyota gearchange. This brilliant post has reassured me that my gearchange can hopefully be improved somewhat! I'll be at the Grasshopper meet this Saturday (3/9/16), so will be asking for some guidance or assistance on this topic (sorry in advance!). As this post is nearly 18 months old, are the Toyota dealerships 'up to speed' with the correct clutch adjustment process? I was also interested to see that 'GTB' referred to WKB Toyota in Chichester - I'm staying near Chichester next week (as I'm visiting the Goodwood Revival) so might be tempted to visit or at least contact WKB, whilst I'm in the area. Otherwise, I'm in the Tunbridge Wells area. Cheers, Ivor

Hi there We have had our 2013 GT86 since May, and have been busy driving it around since, including a great trip to those stunning roads and scenery in Wales! We saw several cars before buying and eventually decided on a metallic blue car, with a genuine 6,500 miles only. I'm a bit of a petrol head and have admired these cars since they first appeared, but only recently decided it was about time to buy a car that I really enjoyed driving, so here it is! I think there must be a technique to easily washing/cleaning and polishing these colour cars (it's not garaged), but I haven't discovered it yet - water staining and pollen seem to be attracted to this car! We are going to the Grasshopper/Westerham meeting on 3rd Sept, so hope to catchup with a few of you then - Cheers, Ivor & Elaine
