Guy fitting my coilovers says the car won't be road legal, should i roll/pull my arches?
Neal replied to Tim86's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Cost of hr mono coilovers £665. Fitting £320. Alignment £105. All including vat. Discount £1090 total cost £0.00 I even got some fuel thrown in. It pays to enter the demon tweeks face book competitions. I've won my suspension and all the tools in my work shop. Not sure what to do with half the tools but that's a different matter. -

Anyone fancy another breakfast meet this coming Sunday (23/04/2017) at the victorian in Bramhall again. No drive organised yet unless everyone would like to go out early and return for something to eat? Breakfast is at 10.45.

Afternoon all. As things stand this show and shine event will be taking place on the 21st of May. I have requested menu's so everyone can get an idea of what what's available. I'm talking to the landlord about Reserving a good section of the car park. He has also agreed that small parts stalls may be welcome as long as transaction are kept near the show area. No parts in the pub. As it's a show and shine event I'm also talking to a couple of detailing companies see if they may be interested in a couple of demonstrations ie correct use of clay and mops for paint correction etc. Would anyone find this useful or have any requests.

I'm not fussed by a title but more than happy to keep organising events as I find it fun. Next event is a show and shine event with the likely date of 21st may 17. Hosted at a lovely pub in the peaks. Proper competition with trophies for best presented cars. Should the sun abandon us on the day best water beading will win. Drinks food and banter also readily available.

I know someone will probably shoot me down for this but I have to recommend the kumho ps71s. I've been given a set by kumho to road test and review on my blog and they have been brilliant. They are the replacement to the capable ku39 tyre I've had them for about 2k miles on the road a track day and a round of the Toyota Sprint. So far the grip has been brilliant I say it rivals the yokohama v105 my girlfriend whos gt86 is fitted with the yokos says the kumho is not quite as grippy round a corner. We both agree the ps71s are better off the line then the yokos and so far offer better fuel economy. The side walls to me seem very sturdy giving a great change of direction in the wet or dry. Although very noisy for the first 5 miles they are the quietest tyre I've run. I'm a convert I'd probably pay for my next set.

And I thought the one bloody black bird living in the tree next to my car was bad. I feel your pain. My dad has issues with pigeons he alternates putting a fluffy life like toy cat and a toy hawk from the rspb in the tree near his keeps the local wildlife confused.

I need to check my work rota first but all being good claire and I want to come
-
I did bottom out once or twice lol it does need raising slightly. I'm running H&R Monos very German very firm not a set up I'd recommend but as I won from demon tweets on one of their Facebook competitions I'm happy. Claires gt86 will be getting Tein coilovers eventually

No worries half the fun is in the organisation. Trying different roads and trying to link them together. I'll be posting more on my next ideas in the Manchester thread late tomorrow definitely a show and shine event and dawn run where we rendezvous at one location set off as the sun comes up and stop for breakfast. Need some special roads for that however.
-
I'm glad everyone had a good time with the breakfast thanks for turning up. shame about the traffic as you say Lauren. Next time I might swap them round drive first then then brunch so we are back before the Sunday fogies get out on the road. Next event might I organise will probably be a show and shine with plenty of banter.

Don't worry about the pre ordering we can sort it when everyone is here
-
No problem see you there
-
A fry up for Rich it is. Mr H Penguin will be good to see you there put names and faces together. Hope your getting one of the awards to.
-
Would any of the brilliantly dedicated admin staff know of any plans to order more club hooded. Such as the one regularly modeled by @Lauren at meets and events If no plans exist what do we need to do to arrange this? I'm sure interest would be high enough to make it worth the clubs while.
