Breakfast drive route is finished pending a recon run in the first week of March. Both Lauren's and Dons suggestions have been planed in. I'll screen shot the map when I'm next in my computer. Anyone else thinking of coming I'm giving the victorian our estimated numbers on Thursday. As mentioned previously if the numbers are good they would be interested in making this a regular occurrence. Subject to the breakfast being of a standard of excellence appropriate to the drivers club.

Sadly I'm working nights over the next 2 weekends and claire is in Germany otherwise would have be there. We put roxy our collie springer cross in the back she curls up in one of the buckets and falls asleep most trips.

2013 Pearl white, manual with low miles

This is what happened to the 5 on its last trackday at anglsey. Sucked a bolt from somewhere into the inlet manifold and got wedged in the valves. Trying to rebuild the engine. Would have been easier to replace it. -

Awesome. I'll forward your ad. What's wrong with the clio. I'm part way through rebuilding my 2.0l mx5 wish I never started it. 6 months in learning as I go and I have to take the head off the engine again. -

Have you still got this for sale? If so I'll share it with a friend I'm trying to talk out of their mx5 and into an 86. -
I'll take that suggestion Lauren. Cuts out a corner involving the A34. Anyone else suggestions?

Before I post a more detailed description of the drive route are the any roads people want to see or recommend remember we are aiming for Jodrell bank. Also a lesson learnt from the last drive fif you want to bring a 2 way radio they are useful.

@Toybaru the full English breakfast is on the menu as far as I know. What a great start to the day big breakfast car talk and the option of a fun (hopefully) drive. All before lunch

Good stuff Lewis. That brings us up to 8 members. Others half's are welcome to. I'm planning on bringing two mx5 drivers along trying to talk them into a change of car.

Hi all. Diaries at the ready. The Victorian in Bramhall (dog friendly) located on ack lane, has agreed to host our breakfast meet on Sunday 12th March. Meeting time will be 9.30 to 10am. Regarding the drive route. This will head from Bramhall to woodford through the Manchester airport tunnels (if you have new exhaust systems get them fitted) out towards Jodrell bank and Knutsford those that want to disperse can or we can curve to macclesfield and back to the start. The route is open to suggestions aiming to be finished by 1pm.

Hi all. Sorry I never got the Christmas meet fully organised. Christmasy commitments kept getting in the way. As such I think we need another meet and or drive soon. How does the second sunday in March sound to everyone? I currently like the idea of breakfast and a drive. Home by 1pm latest.

Would anyone be interested in a detailing day led by a professional. I've been keen to lean more for a while and have been looking at various options and found a number of detailing centers off club events at nominal fees. Anyone interested?

Nothing wrong with ebc yellows great for road and track. Many race series use them as their regulation pad. They had an issue with the friction material sticking to the mount for a few baches and have been trolled awfully on many forums but that seems to have been resolved. If your doing trackday regularly your probably better off with ebc blue on the front and yellow on the rear if you go with ebc. I run yellows all round on my track car (blues weren't out when I ordered them) with no complaints what so ever in terms of stopping power and life span.

Hi. I'm having difficulty purchasing a premium membership. I click add to basket and try to proceed to payment yet a message pops up saying nothing in basket
-
Rrg body shop is probably best bet however this is a hit and run so we want to keep insurance out of it to protect claires premium and ncb if possible
-
Urgent help needed. Require a good trustworthy bodyshop in manchester. Some bastard has dented my girlfriends 86.
-
They do. We uses they regularly for general work. They outsource to a body shop which I'm expecting to be extortionate. Don't mind paying for quality work but like anyone I don't like paying over the odds .

Hi before I ring for a quote which may waste everyone's time I have two questions. Do you cover the sk6 post. I've been turned down by 3 specialists on the bounce. Not sure why. What would be an average increase in premium as a percentage with coilovers fitted to the car? IF you would prefer to call me instead of posting you can 07531546764. Regards Neal -
Hi 2 questions before I phone to waste your time. Do you cover the sk6 postcode? I've been turned down by 3 specialist on the bounce now. How much would fitting coilovers increase a premium by aproximately as a percentage?

Claire and I will do our best to be there. Although I am on call at work that weekend

Hi I've recently finished off my clay bar and the lubricant it came with cleaning a friends car ready for sale. The filthy piece hadn't even chucked a bucket of water at the poor car in her ownership she said it looks clean when it rains. But that's another matter. Is the a preference of clay type brand of clay and type / brand of lubricant which works well together. I've been using autoglym and although it works I'm overly impressed. It takes lots of effort to pick up everything on my car which is washed weekly and clayed and polished monthly.
-
Thanks for the responses. I only clay two panels at a time so it takes 6 months to get back to the start. My polish fills in the marks rather then being abrasive. I've not come across a clay mit before is it as simple as it sounds? Just wipe the bodywork with a dry mit or is there more to it.
