Let's be honest, there is virtually no useful comparisons online between momentum & V-power, it's all he said she said... The bloke down the pub told me... A guy who works at a refinery told me Tesco don't put nivea revitalift with age defying tank cleaners in their petrol. I get same mileage from both and the engine sounds the same...

Hey guys Has anyone installed the valenti side markers (indicators)? http://www.amber-performance.co.uk/product.php?xProd=25614&xSec=8594 I'm just wondering what the red wire is for... It says to connect it to the DRL positive in the headlight cluster, but this isn't on any on the online video instructions. I'm guessing this is something to do with the 'EUR style' and most of the videos are from the US. If not essential I'd rather not mess about with the headlight wiring. much appreciated.

Hey guys It's my first winter in the GT86 and this recent cold snap has me granny shifting everywhere... just tapping the throttle in third seems to send the rears sliding out on roundabouts, it's easy enough to avoid (or not avoid if the road is clear), but I'm surprised I can't get a little more out the car before it gives up. I'm running the Advan sport it came with, so guess the questions are two fold: How are ppl with either forced induction or primacies still alive :-) & has anyone with the Aero found a better tyre than the advan sport? It's rated reasonably highly elsewhere, so maybe I just need to suck it up till the dial hits 8degrees :-) I'm not a fan of switching to winter tyres as it's normally not cold enough for long enough here.

First winter, granny shifting everywhere

@mike HAHA yea I had to check the tread on mine too when I got home Finesse it's going to be then... Thanks for the feedback Church, over the recent cold snap, my inputs have definitely become a lot smoother and gentler, and I can feel where the edge is and either stay there or go slightly over... I think I'm just a bit surprised how edge is at such low revs. -
Thanks for the feedback... It turned out the Valenti are discontinued, so they substituted for another make.. . They were a bit bulky also so they've been returned.

In the words of the Starks 'winter is coming'. Bit of a car wash noob myself, but thought I should strip all the wax and seal for winter, so spent yesterday: Snow foam Tar, Bug, Iron, Grime removal Wash Clay Tough Prep AG SRP AG EGP (2 coats) Will do another coat of extra gloss protection today, then a coat or two of wax... hopefully should last through the winter. What will you be doing to protect through winter?
-
yea good question... I put three layers of sealant on (AG EGP), but I'm hoping with the wax over the top, it will act as a sacrificial layer to help the sealant last all the way through winter. The R222 wax doesn't have any additives or solvents in, so fingers crossed, won't have disturbed the sealant.

Added the third coat of extra gloss protection today, then two coats of R222 wax on top, waxed the wheels too. I'm hoping more is less doesn't work for car protection :-) Still it'll look okay till it rains next...

do they use the same sponges and cloths all day? I'd be worried about scratches and stuff

Yep, that's what the original question was... Mine was 330mm, you can see from pic there isn't a great deal of room to spare.

Hey Guys Has anyone tried bypassing the number plate mount and bolting the plate straight to the bumper using the plate mount holes? I have a 330 x 155 front plate, I've been looking for mounts without much luck, but having taken the mount off today, to look at cutting it own to size, I think it would look better without it. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks for the help guys.... It went straight on :-)

Hey guys hello from deepest darkest somerset... Had my Aero for a month or two now and really enjoying it, thought I should stop lurking and say hello :-)

Cheers, lots of buffing :-) Yeovil at the mo No concrete plans as yet, aside from a smaller front plate, but hopefully will get some tips on here, the car isn't stiff enough at the mo so will need to look at that.
