Hi Adam, You will need longer bolts for the TD. Something like M8x80 or M8x100 High tensile along with Penny washers. You can reuse the OEM nuts. I have some of these at home if you are stuck, otherwise your local Screwfix or Toolstation will have some. Bolts Penny washers

I had 15mm drop on the car when I went for 18" 7.5J ET46 wheels. As the 18s made the car sit a bit higher the 15mm dropped it slightly below stock height. It will be even better if you stay on 17s. The car doesn't scrape on any bumps or have issues with driving normally on the streets. Handling is the same or better (it could be better because I moved from Primacy to Pilot Sport 4).

FOR SALE - Tuning Developments TD Resonated Catback
vanko25 posted a topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Hi all I got my stainless steel TD resonated cat back for sale. It has done about 10k miles. It is in really good state and the sound is awesome and deep. There are a lot of forum members that can confirm how well biult these exhaust are. I will get it cleaned up prior to collection. Looking for £330 collected. Located in Soihull, South Birmingham. -
matt you should really do it the other way round so they fade. The sub to 100 Hz and the Focal-s at 90 Hz.

Crossover is essentially the High Pass/ Low Pass Filter.

Get yourself a VCI adapter and read what the error messages are or see if someone in your area has one. Using the VCI and the Toyota Techstream software you should be able to read the ABS ECU where these errors could be saved.

Thanks for the suggestions @maurice ! I was following the route that was suggested on a website. I have altered the map now with all the suggestions. I am open to this kind of suggestions as I want to spend as little time on the motorway as possible. I do 120 miles motorway driving a day, could do with some scenic driving. Less than a month left now, can't wait for these open roads where I can drive the car where it is supposed to be driven. Not to mention all that French food and beer

FOR SALE - Tuning Developments TD Resonated Catback
vanko25 replied to vanko25's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
A bit louder than stock but not anything annoying as it is the resonated version. No drone at all when on motorway. There probably 20+ people on the forum that will confirm how good these are. -
Now sold. Post can be locked. Thanks!

Have a set of OEM wheels with the Primacy tyres on. All tyres are still legal for another few thousand miles. 2 of the wheels got slight curb marks as per the photos but otherwise in very good condition. Located in Solihull, Birmingham. Looking for around £220 collected. I am moving house in a month time so would like to see them go ASAP. Thanks for looking!

I kinda stolen Bob's thread but thanks all for the suggestions! I get a beta map in Google my maps that covers Route Napoleon, French Riviera, Stelvio Pass, A bit from Italy, Cortina D'Ampezzio, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Transfăgărășan (Mountain pass in Carpathians) and then down to my home town. Should be hell of a drive and with no set time bounds we will take our time and stop here and there and book hotels on the go. I will create my own topic just before we leave. The babe already got the later Aero wheels with PS4s and is due springs and 4 wheel alignment at Fensport on Wednesday. Soon after I will be heading to RRG for service and to make sure it will be able to that long euro trek. Can't wait to leave my daily Saab and get into the GT86 for the rest of the summer! P.S. Link to the map

@Lauren thanks for the info. I will look into the toll tag as it might be easier to do it that way rather than stopping at every toll booth as it is pain to wait 30 minutes each time. I originally thought driving all the way through Belgium-Germany-Austria to Bulgaria to enjoy the Autobahn and probably pay Nuburgring a visit but the girlfriend suggested France and Italy will be more interesting for both of us From what I looked online there will be another €50 going to Nice and Autostrada tolls will be another €50. Although we always can get off the motorway and take the back roads and enjoy the scenery. @GT86Bob thanks for posting the map on the blog. That gave me some great ideas where can stop and do some car related stuff

Hi Bob, Sounds like you are in Europe almost every month recently! I am planning on getting the GT through France down to Nice, Cannes, Monaco and up in Italy this July on my way to Eastern Europe (>3k miles). I'd be glad if you can share at the end of the journey how much you spent on Toll taxes in France and Italy. as I will be taking similar route with the exception that will carry on south to Nice instead of passing the border to Italy. Also will keep following your blog for interesting places that we can stop and visit. Me and the girlfriend are planning on doing the same thing. Take it easy & stop and enjoy nice places along the route and book hotels on the go so we don't rush to get to the hotel every day. Regards Ivan!

@benmmellor It should be easier with the Pioneer unit as it probably will have 12V power for reversing camera.
-
I am trying to find a photo of it on the car but must have deleted it. Regarding the modification, there is kind of a junction where the power and signal cables get into one if I am not wrong. You need to cut it open with Stanley knife and measure across the resistors for voltage drop (should see 12V one side 6ish the other side). Then simply unsolder the resistor and bridge it. For the HU cable I used this and these. On the other side I had yellow RCA for the signal & DC jack for the power. It worked fine when I tested it but never went round fitting it as didn't fancy the look of it. But this will work even with a standard camera that needs to be fitted to the plastic trim. P.S. When I get home I will try to take photos of the cable.
-
I bought one from aliexpress a while ago for 8 quid. I never fitted as it sticks out too much and it looks ugly (personal opinion). I also found out that in the cable there is PCB board which brings the 12V to 6V for the camera. As our HU units have 6V power for camera on the back I modified the PCB board so I didn't need to get 12V from elsewhere to power the camera. I also got a cable made up from parts I got from RS Components to connect the camera's signal and power supply to the HU. If you are savvy with the soldering iron I can find what the part numbers were.

12+ GT-86/BRZ/FR-S VALENTI LED TAIL LIGHT (FULL SMOKE)
vanko25 replied to Mattybr5's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Correct me if I am wrong but they come at around £250 brand new from thespeedline including P&P and import duty. -
If you get this one you'd just run RCA cable to the amp. Then the outs of the amp probably will need to be sliced up to the cables on the 10 pin connector or find an adapter cable. Here is a the pinout.
-
Front speakers are 6.5 inch and rears are 3 inch if not wrong. You can get the Focal IS165TOY kit for the front. It is direct fit with no splicing or adapters needed and are relatively cheap. If you want something with higher quality you can look at Lauren's build. There were some other people with Hi Fi builds too.
-
I probably missed the bit where you want to power all the speakers. I think these cables could do the job. The connectors will plug in on the existing wiring to the speakers and the loose ends will go to the cables from the amp. I have seen someone on here put amp under one of the seats. Then you will need the same cable to connect to the HU then the Hi-Lo convert to send signal to the amp. Something like that
-
Hi mate, I connected one of these to the right rear speaker. Instead of splicing wires I managed to solder the inputs to the speaker connections. Then ran the RCA low out to my Mazda 6 BOSE sub that is in the spare wheel well.

Hi mate, Are you selling the rear diffuser/splitter that is on the last photo? Thanks! -
Aa okay. I always thought we only call the front cam plates like that
-
That's not the camplate. This is a blanking plate where the vacuum pump for the auto is supposed to be. It's at the back of the engine on the driver's side if I am not wrong?
