Looking good! White is hard to show off in pictures but that looks like a good effort What do you think of the gyeon bathe+? keep thinking of trying some of their stuff
-
@Mark@Abbey M/S looking at the date I may have missed the boat on this but if you could Pm me some details on the brakes if they are still available that would be great

Standard nuts are very good and will be absolutely fine. Torque to 120nm as said above and off you go. For my aftermarket wheels I just run standard steel nuts as supplied from the local wheel shop. Nice and strong, not too expensive and have a stainless coating so don't rust. I have had coloured/black nuts in the past and as soon as it chips and wears they don't look great.

Surrey Monthly Breakfast Meet - German vs Jap - Sunday, April 7

I believe @Leevsfortyone went with some others last time. If I can make it I will come but schedule is looking tight this weekend! -
Like you say a good brand but I still prefer the piece of mind of running steel personally. Particularly if venturing on track days etc.

Maybe see you there. To be honest @VAD17 as tuner fest is the week after and WR are not attending JDM coombe I am thinking of just parking in the public car park and just viewing the show rather then anything else.

Wanted GT86 April/May Purchase
gavin_t replied to Ccolleavy's topic in Wanted GT86 / BRZ Cars and Parts
Strangely it was the one colour I didn't want when I started looking. Then the dealer I visited happened to have one in orange and I actually really liked the colour in person and it had my perfect spec (manual, half leather heated seats, navigation, no red bits ) -

Perfect weather and an enjoyable day. Don't think I am going to be able to make the September one due to a wedding invite. Considering JDMcoombe though -
Wanted GT86 April/May Purchase

Welcome and good luck with your search. Sometimes takes a while for the right one to come up but its worth waiting as you say PS excellent colour choice -
also to note I fitted these without any camber adjustment at first and they were fine. Just fitted them myself then took it to the local trusted tyre place that does four wheel alignment and got it adjusted up in terms of toe.

I like the ebaich pro springs on mine. Think they are a 20mm drop. Ride is maybe a little stiffer but hardly noticeable. Sorry only pic I have at the moment

See you there 🙂

Tempting. Do you have a rough ball park figure of what postage would be to mainland UK?

Any interest on this one? I will ask the essex locals at the next meet if they are interested. More then welcome on the wr stand if there is only a few of us. Although even more then a few will be fine also -

Yer I am definatly on the same wave as less pots are better. I know from my bike racing days alot of the bigger number of pot calipers began to loose feel as you are introducing more and more movable parts. K sport were getting a good word from TD and some other trusted sources but as the Reyland Kit is so close in price that may be the way to go. I might bash on one more set of disks and pads while I mull over this information. May also give something nice the opertunity to come up for sale on here as well in the mean time What brake stopper/brace are people using? Might be worth a punt if cheap and easy to fit.
-
Could be an option, although if going for that setup I would have thought finding a set of brembos from an impreza would give the same preformance and maybe cost less?
-
@Lauren as someone that did alot of driving and track work before going for bigger brakes do you think it was worth while and has made a good difference? Wondering if to give one more combo of pads and discs a go with some extra cooling or just jump straight in with a fresh setup. It's mainly the feel that I am not keen on for track use. Kind of feels like it won't give the same stopping power every time. Therefore not giving me confidence to be a late on committed on the brakes as I could be.
-
See my original feeling on K sport echoed this but from doing some actual research on the matter the recent kits seem to have many a happy customer with many tuning companies recommending them. Those cosworth brakes are a little big for me, ideally want to keep to 330mm to give me the option of running 17" wheels also.

Nothing official. But if the car is in warranty it could be worth contacting your local dealer and forwarding the information from this bulletin to see if anything is heading to the uk. I have made a note of the part number in case I get problems next time I take my bumper off. Would be handy to add a couple of the clips
