I have heard that the coil packs may be more of an issue when aftermarket manifolds are fitted. Not sure if Nigel has one fitted or not? Think it is the heat that kills them off -

Hope you are still enjoying it. Hope you enjoyed spa as well. My mate was on that day and thoroughly enjoyed it despite the rain -
I have never found much love for glass polish. Just use good old fashioned house hold window cleaner on my glass after a wash to rid of any water marks. By the sounds of it its just dusty residue left in the imperfections so something along the lines of a solvent and a microfiber cloth to reach into them should begin to shift them. As others have said the glass polish is quite "dusty especially if you are liberal with the application

slightly lower offset and wider will look a lot better on the car as they will stick out closer to the arches. Will have no problems with that size Only other point to consider with wheel nuts is the face that sits against the wheel. Most after market as a flat 60 degree type. Where as some OEM are a round shape etc.

Nice replacement! I was between one of these and an 86 a few years back. I was with @Lauren though and the running costs were a lot steeper so swayed me away from them. Lovely cars though and a great soundtrack

Hmmm unless something isn't quite aligned right then with mine?? Felt it was like you describe before and all this has done is increase the self centering of the gearstick in the gaiter. No loud exhaust for me as I don't want to be banned from Bedford yet
-
Doh! I was trying to remember the conversation we had at brands. Thought it was the other way around
-
Must be louder in yours. I can only hear it occasionally if I am in traffic using the clutch with the window open. Get it up on a ramp and give it all a good greasing

I had these fitted along with the white line positive shift bush whilst having my NA kit fitted at TD. I am going to go against the grain and say I don't like them and preferred it before Admittedly haven't tried it on track again since the mods but all I feel it has done is make the shift stiffer and increased transmission noise around town at low speeds
-
Mine does this. Assumed it was just the fork/linkage mechanism and thought nothing more of it. Been fine for over 3 years and not got worse, can only hear it if the window is open anyway

You will be fine with a DA if you are careful. I got great results with a DAS-6 machine and meguires two step polish with a couple of hex logic pads I got as part of a package on cleanyourcar.co.uk No more swirls and a nice deep shine. Nice and easy to do just takes a fair bit of time.

Left about 2ish I think. Think we just got unlucky as we were say on the M6 for ages due to a truck full of Cows that fell over and we had to wait for them to clear up the mess.
-
Crap as it was solid traffic all the way down the M6, M1, M25 to Essex But yes very much enjoying the new power delivery. Also got the shifter springs and gearbox mount done too.

Looks good. I would take a look at some Ebaich springs. They give a modest drop and retain the oem comfort. Love mine. Drives nice on road and track and I have done things like the north coast 500 route round Scotland on some rough roads and found no issues I fitted them on my drive in 2 hours so a pro will have no problems in this time frame. Just got back from warrington with the other half. I got the NA package and she got a day out shopping in warrington and a nice lunch. Stayed in the ibis which was nice too and only £48 with all you can eat breakfast

I'm In for some grub and car chat

Only redeeming feature was how reliable it was for the amount of abuse it was given and how easy it was to work on! So much space in the engine bay. Mine was lowered on crashy G-max springs

Seen a blue one twice now at the timberlog lane/broadmayne roundabout so must be local There is a Ginger 12 plate floating about as its the double of mine that the other half always double takes at

Can vouch for the car limits days. I have learnt alot doing a couple. Can also book a club "activity" day through them. Not as much learning but alot of fun to just go and explore limits ;-) can be upto £50 to 100 each depending on numbers there to split the cost. Nice cafe on the airfield too so would be a nice club day out.

PistonHeads Sunday Service - Goodwood, Nov 25 2018 - CANCELLED

Could be up for making the drive over if a few faces are attending :-) -
My first motor was one of them. 1996 euro 96 limited edition Wind up windows, Massive steering wheel with non PAS so hilarious amount of turns to get lock to lock. 1.2 8V engine with 40bhp and still low mpg as it was full gas everywhere to make it go. Even slower when you add 17" wheels like all teenagers did Although as it was my first car I knew no better and loved it at the time. Although I recently drove one again and was shocked in a bad way!

Good to see some forward planning of what is already a good club full of great people. I unfortunately don't have much time to offer personally due to lots of work and bike racing commitments but am happy to help out where needed on a adhoc basis at events. @VAD17 and @Leevsfortyone have been great at organising events so can certainly vouch for them if they wanted to have any input/roles. Also as @VAD17 mentioned we hooked up with some old friends of mine that run a small track day forum called weekendracer. They have a lot of track based shows that they attend on a regular basis and are more then happy to have our cars on stand and have good facilities to offer and share. Works well when there are shows with a small club attendance as it shares the organisation. Can provide admin contacts if anything wanted to be made more "official" at all in the future. But adhoc appearances wont be an issue and partnering up with various clubs and contacts is always a good thing
