We just inform the licencing authority, the DVLA of the colour change. Not a problem. It's just a change in the vehicle details.

This by the looks of it: https://www.facebook.com/OfficialJapSocietyuk/?fref=ts

No worries, Ade. Your car does seem very well sorted in all aspects and good driving too. Still think you need to turn the aids off though, may have helped in places. Just to clarify, Port Froid is not flat out in an NA car, you just cannot take the last left flat, I know I've tried.

It's not necessary to change your discs providing they are fine when changing brake pads. I've found that pad and disc life is about the same at around 37K miles or so. But it's totally not necessary to change your discs at the same time.

@Ade I found from trying different setups that running stiffer at the rear to the front helps if you like the rear end to move more. Part of the reason that Tein go for 6/6kg is so that the handling is easier in that respect tending towards initial understeer. This is the experience I have had from driving Keith's (Spec K's) and Dave (Pitman's) car which has the same setup as mine apart from a 6/6kg spring rate as opposed to my 5/6kg spring rate. My reasoning was that I wanted to be able to load the front under trail braking and help steer through the rear. So a 5/6kg setup is a bit more edgy but it depends upon what you prefer of course. It certainly works, so @Keethos you should consider these aspects before placing an order. Mike's setup is better than mine on the track, it really is impressive. He has the EDFC of course (using my settings). But I would say mine is a tad more compliant on the road and a little more comfortable as a result.

Just to add, I went out in Mike's car with his Tein monotube setup and 6/7kg. I've been out on the road in it as well albeit only back from my local curry house. It felt a bit firm on the road, but was actually really good on the track. Better than mine which is more road orientated. His setup generated a lot of grip, was quite surprising. I've tried the HKS setup with 6/4kg, it didn't really work, as it would just roll over on the rears, I wouldn't recommend those spring rates.

Welcome aboard. Hope to catch up at JAE.

You can have Teins with 7/7kg springs if you want. External reservoirs would put you in the pro class for the TSS. I'm not convinced a 8/6kg setup will really suit the car, so I'd want the same front and rear or greater at the rear.

They seem to be allergic to my house, though I guess you are supposed to go outside. I've had it sTried it on a 2 hour walk today, but there were only about 3. Tried the incense when I got home and nailed 4 or so. Not progressing very quickly at the moment. Maybe there'll be more in Wythenshawe town centre at work tomorrow.

I downloaded it on Friday. I'm going to try it when I walk Indy today, see what I think. :)}

Speak to Riceburner about a set of Yoko V105's. He will do you a good deal. SEOT. As for mileage. Primacy was 14K for the rears 25K for the fronts. Yoko V105's 7K rears 20K+ fronts. I do do track stuff though. I steer with the rear mainly.

Definitely just to confirm.

Flex A's are a safe bet, if you can tolerate it not being rock hard and having a bit of ride comfort.

Was good to catch up with Dan and Mike for a curry. Next time a bit more notice and we'll get a few more in attendance. It is the tradition if you go to RRG to have curry afterwards.

Bonjour and welcome aboard.

Can do curry over our way for around 7.30pm, on the basis I will have finished work by 7pm. Will PM you the details. If anyone else wants to come, will be the usual Samgams on the Wilmslow road, Heald Green: http://swadeshrestaurants.com/restaurants/sangam-heald-green

Are you staying over tomorrow night, Dan? And if so will you have transport. Macc is shite for food. You are welcome to come over my way, about a 20 minute drive towards Manchester (think the airport). We could go out for a curry (there's a good one just up the road from me) if you want as is the tradition up here.

I'm sorry I don't get the appeal of a the rat look. Also I think it only works on old cars. Can you not get it repaired through insurance?

Pics please.

I reckon the winter tyres will be good for drifting. Less feel, but they will overheat quicker, so you ought to be able to drift it pretty well. Not so hot if you're trying to go fast though and working them in temperatures they weren't designed for. Still might as well toast them.

Nice. Rob's car.

Welcome aboard. There are some members around your neck of the woods, plus plenty of events going on at this time of year, if you'd like to meet up with fellow members. Also check out JAE if you fancy a mad long weekend away with a whole load of us in September. Any plans for the car?

A HFC would likely make it louder still if you then remove the primary cat. There is no point fitting a HFC if you still have the primary cat. A primary cat alone is fine for the MOT. As has been said, just drive out straightaway when you start it.
