Welcome aboard! Another ginger I see.
-
I'm sure they do a fat boy option.
-
But they have to be green Takata's. You can get them in black. Was going to ask why you haven't got a Bride seat.
-
Fair enough. I was just reliving in my head, the joy of bucket seats and harnesses on the road and those times when I drove it five minutes to the shops and went through the whole harness thing. It's not too bad on longer trips, but mine didn't have the helmet pads so visibility wasn't an issue, well apart from having to loosen the harnesses off to look around when pulling out of junctions. Would those harnesses be Takata?
-
Seat looks nice, but it may well prove a total PITA for road use as the helmet pads will obscure your view side to side at junctions etc. You will also need to use harnesses all the time as the stock seat belts won't work with the deepness of the seat. Using harnesses on the road everytime you drive it is a right pain really.

It depends how heavy you are on the brakes, though that's pretty heavy, Ian. I'm very light on brakes. The Stoptech pads I was given seem to be doing very well and work well on track, they are proving to be an absolute bargain compared to stock pads. They do squeal but not as much as stock pads do. When my car was last serviced and 20K on from having the pads fitted, they'd only worn about 10%!
-
They do last very well. Despite my car seeing competition, I still get around 40K miles out of a set of discs and pads.
-
Wow, seen this car being advertised. That's a lot of mods! What are you planning on doing with it? Track days, sprinting in the forced induction class? I look forward to having a closer look at some events this year. I'd get some better tyres than Yoko Paradas, though they skimped on that a bit!

Sad times indeed, sounds like the housing ladder beckons. -
BRZ & 86 Aftermarket/Replacement Steering Wheels w/ Airbag Compatibility!
Lauren replied to 86WORX's topic in 86WORX
I have the cheaper street rage one was £227. I'd much prefer the Cusco one, but it wasn't available when I bought mine. -
Nice, enjoy, shame you can't see some of the action this weekend though, particularly as it's just around the corner!

BRZ & 86 Aftermarket/Replacement Steering Wheels w/ Airbag Compatibility!
Lauren replied to 86WORX's topic in 86WORX
Please keep posts related to the trader. These wheels cost what they do (I know I've researched it) and that's it really. Love the Cusco one. I'd better get saving. What I will say though is that the 350mm is really worth having over the stock 360mm size. -
Welcome aboard. There aren't a huge amount of owners it seems in the Devon/Cornwall area, but if you drive a little north then I reckon there's enough for a regular meet, particularly those in the South Wales area and around Bristol, so it should be do-able!
-
If you like revving the engine the HKS V2 is great for that. I haven't tried the Harrop so can't comment. I did try the Sprintex and though it gives great mid range, I didn't think it was quite so hot at higher revs, so not for me as I do like to be right up to the redline when I'm going for it.

Great stuff and welcome aboard. The Wales population of GT86 and BRZ's is growing by the minute! We've had a few new members from Wales lately.

Welcome aboard! Don't worry your car will be a lot quicker of course than a low powered TDI. Enjoy the revs!
-
Looks good. 17x8 I'm guessing same as mine. You just need to lower it now! One thing I would add though, go for coilovers, not lowering springs if you possibly can.
