I'm fairly proud to say, that of all 34Gb of music I have (I'm into it), I don't have a single Christmas song and not one Christmas compilation album. I love Christmas, but not the music.

The short answer is that it would make it a lot noisier! Losing the cats would make more power as they are a restriction. Would throw a CEL though if you remove the primary. I don't think a 3" system would really lose you anything, though nobody has that I know of put one on an NA car. I don't think you can get a 3" manifold on the primaries, but if you could you would be changing it if you added a turbo as you would require a manifold to fit the turbo. Obviously not an issue with supercharging. 3'5" is unnecessary and likely too big to fit under the car. EL best for top end. UEL better for mid range so I hear.

As for shoes, Alpine Stars are the most comfortable.

You would hugely benefit from a wheel that is 1.5Kg lighter. The difference between OEM and mine is 1.8kg. You notice it.

I'm glad you went for decent make up. Very nice. Whilst my home is like Santa's grotto, I must admit, I'm not one for adding things to my car come the festive period.

Yes indeed and therein lies the problem! No brainer to be on your all year/summer tyres today.
-
Wicked stuff! Enjoy! Hope to see you at some meets soon.

I think it's horses for courses. A winter like we had 5 years ago, would make winter tyres a huge advantage over summer/all year round tyres. But the last two years I've had winter tyres fitted, it just has not been cold enough to reap the advantage and in fact they've been more of a disadvantage more of the time. So this year I'm running Yoko Advans V105s on the front and trialling Contisport Contact 5's on the rear. Yes, both 'summer' tyres but very good ones. The Contis are exceptional in regard to wet weather longitudinal traction, but I'm less convinced about their grip levels under high speed lateral G in the wet. But I need more time to reach a conclusion on that one really. I do wonder after reading about a recent tyre test on winter tyres whether the Michelin Cross Climate tyres are best suited to the generally mild UK weather conditions? http://www.michelin.co.uk/tyres/michelin-crossclimate

It arrived today: I'll have it fitted at my 80K service on the 4th Jan.

They are better when it's cold, but it needs to be cold.

In two years using winter tyres, I managed to drive on snow once for 3 mins. They were really good, though it was totally unnecessary to drive on a snow covered lane of a dual carriageway. Good luck with that.

Speak to RRG Macc, Paul or Dave, they'll be able to get it for you. You won't need the part numbers, they can do that. It's worth remembering you only need to do it every 20K, I get mine done when my service is done. 80K service in Jan and the diff oil changed for the 4th time!

If it's any help I've had mine Tein Streetflex with EDFC on for over 50K miles now. They have been totally faultless.

It was unfortunate indeed that the original group buy got messed up. Been meaning to do something about it for ages. I'll get it fitted at my next service.

Just bought one of these from Amber. The lack of visibility on dipped beam on these dark days has made me take the plunge!

Welcome aboard! We have a lot of members in the Midlands so I'm sure a few will pop and say hello in due course. It's a quiet time of year, but there'll doubtless be some local-ish meets to you popping, up, keep an eye on the social meets section.

PLEASE HELP: Feedback needed for new online quote for Prestige KM Insurance
Lauren replied to Tim@Prestige's topic in Insurance Companies
It took me ages to do and got this at the end: Currently we are unable to provide you with an on-line quotation, however please call 0800 330 8057 to speak with one of our experienced advisors, who will be able to assist you with your enquiry and provide you with a competitive rate. We look forward to being of service to you. -
Yes. Speak to Richard at RRG (Riceburner on here). He's ordered and fitted TRD parts for me. But the reality is, I don't see why any dealer would have a problem doing this.
-
There is no such thing as a 'TRD' dealerships. All dealerships are able to sell the TRD version of the car. All the TRD parts fall under the same warranty as the rest of the car, so in terms of warranty it is no different. Ah just twigged you are talking about fitting TRD parts. Any TRD parts fitted by your dealer should be warrantied though the warranty may differ from the actual car warranty.
-
Welcome aboard and congrats on getting one. I've now covered nearly 80K miles and I still just love the car, it must be good then!
-
See tickets are out. £35 each. I've decided not to go. £70 is too much for me for what it is.

If you reset your average mpg everytime you fill up an easy trick is to look at your average mpg and times it by two to know how much further you can get when the light comes on.

Adrian Flux - Christmas 2015 Opening Hours
Lauren replied to DAN@ADRIAN FLUX's topic in Insurance Companies
Pats being off from the 23rd till the 4th. To be fair Adrian Flux apart from closing early on Xmas eve only have the bank holidays off. -
That's pretty much it. I reckon a secondary decat and exhaust system will give you a little bit as I have found with my car, though there are no huge power increases with being NA, but then again it will sound a lot better. Then you can remap if you want to of course.
