Great stuff, always good when family members join in the fun. I had fun with Mark today following him in the GT whilst he drove the AE86. I notice the cats prefer your TRD.

I think all the current setups on the market seem to offer the ability to get as low as anyone would want. Roads in the US are far worse than the UK in my experience. For the tiny percentage that want to cringe everytime they go over a cats eye, it's not really going to be worth it, they can just import from the US if they can't find what they are looking for here.

Standard Michelins a bit unprogressive in the wet?
Lauren replied to Nicebiscuit's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
No, I ran 225 Yoko's too much grip. I have been running since August, Yokos in stock sizes. Gives a much better balance. -

Yes, they do lack progression, though are fun once they are sliding. For a more progressive setup fit either Yoko Advan V105's or Contisport Contact 5's I run the Yokos. -
When it comes to manifolds, JP are the best, they do a hell of a lot of bespoke stuff for all the exotica.

I should add that those temps were the result in 37C ambient temps at Donington, though I don't think the ambient temperature makes a huge difference in practice. I have had a go pro mounted on the b-pillar on the passenger side, it does work okay, if you get the angle right. Otherwise a suction mount on the rear screen is an option. We also tried recording with a stick on mount (same as B-pillar) on the A pillar, but you can't see what the driver is doing which detracts from it, I think. I admit though I've given up recording track antics on camera.

Sessions of 10 mins or so will see oil temps at aroudn 125C. Brakes are okay, but will fade after about the same time. Just limit your time on track in one go and you'll be fine.

Love it that Neil is getting loads of advice, when he's done loads of trackdays and competed in the sprint series for years. I think for you Neil, it's simply realising that you have to drive your car differently than an MR2. The GT has got a much more playful chassis and far better balance than the MR2, so the reality is, it's easy.

They are replacements, I've got a set of these in white on my car.

Brand New forged Advan GTs with Yokohama Tyres

That's just over 8kg in English! -
Welcome aboard, Nick. In terms of condensation, this really can only be because there is damp in the car, which is commonly from getting into the car wet, or because of high humidity. If you run the AC then that will clear it up. You shouldn't have to run the AC all the time though, but I would do it for a week to dry it out. Inevitably as we head into winter any moisture you take into the car will make it prone to misting up. I think it's more of an issue in the GT86 simply because it is really a small car. There is a large glass area (particularly the rear window) and so with not that much space inside it is more prone to condensation. Obviously if there is water ingress somewhere that would cause it, but I think on balance it is mostly due to the small cabin area and moisture being introduced from outside and low temps and high humidity.

Just saying about the price as when you add a couple of Kirin's to that and times it by 2 it does add up! -
Northern Meet/Open Day @ Tuning Developments

I should add, we do have a guest room and drive space if anyone wants it? We are about a 20 minute drive from Warrington. It's only really expensive at Wasabi if you go for the full six course option around £35 a head. -

Is there going to be a meet up for food on Saturday night? I guess my next question will be is it going to be the usual shite PI food affair? I should add there is Wasabi Teppenyaki in Stockton Heath which isn't far from Warrington. http://www.wasabi-teppanyaki.co.uk Tis not a cheap meal though. -
It's just change and people not liking it. I'm getting on better with it, now I use the new content button. I did like that the old one listed all the active threads (without the detail) on the right hand side.

Welcome aboard. I think you'll enjoy the GT if you're a driver, I know I've had a lot of fun in mine. There are loads of options for modifcations, this car was made to be modified so you will be well catered for there. There is loads of stuff on Youtube.

You should add the weight of those Advans, Jonathan. I'm sure people would like to know. -

The main reason is a 17" wheel is lighter than an 18". -
