Is there an easy way to disable the microwave sensors? I only ask as sometimes Indy has to remain in the car when it is locked and obviously she continually sets the alarm off.
-
I reckon the wheels will last many years. Am guessing you mean tyres?
-
It flew over us at JAE last Saturday!

For the TSS you need to get motorsport insurance, not trackday insurance. It's all much the same though. You insure your car for a given value, but will have a 10% excess. Cost will be similar to trackday insurance. As for who to contact, I've only done this once when I was testing a Formula Renault, it was about £140, but I doubt that is particularly relevant, IIRC insured for £10K.

Declaring accidents that weren't on the road?
Lauren replied to Keethos's topic in Insurance Companies
I definitely would not have declared it. It doesn't make any sense to. Insurance companies are more interested in whether a claim has been made over anything else. An accident like you had is not relevant to insurance as there were no claims. Think of it this way, say you had a small bump on the road, hitting an object and there were no claims, would you declare it? This is no different. -
Toyota Main Dealer GT86 Supporting Tuning Developments
Lauren replied to Mike@TD.co.uk's topic in Tuning Developments
Looks good! If only Toyota would have less offset on their OEM wheels. -
Welcome aboard! See you've got some nice additions there. Any plans for the wheels? Would really finish it off.
-
Sorry. It's not that interesting anyway! Just in car of me doing a sprint run. Come to the Amber meet on the 3rd, plenty of exhausts there. Might be in the AE86, we'll see.
-
Nigel, if you still have the primary cat, it will be fine for the MOT.
-
Welcome aboard Ollie, sorry about that! Keep us posted when you find one. And what were you doing Rob? Don't worry though, I've known Ollie for a very long time, it's really cool I think to see people coming over from having MR2s.

Church, we don't do pounds here! Kg if you can please.

It's because it's a racing wheel and is very strong. It wasn't a crack, was just straightened a bit or curved depending upon how you look at it! The powder coat adds 200g, so it would be 7.2kg without it. Also my wheels are 17x8, so a little wider.

I've got a non-res Milltek with a Miltek overpipe and second cat delete. The second cat delete is worth doing to be fair, as I think that's where I got a power gain, albeit only 5% or so. But it does sound good. I don't really have any vids apart from some in car ones though. See: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrjqIA364geu73mZT-woweg Scroll down for the Snetterton runs, not sure what it sounds like exhaust wise from these vids, I'm on slow hotel wifi so can't check!

Welcome aboard, Joe, good luck with finding the right car. Any preferences on colour?

7.4kg is impressive for a cast wheel. My TE37's are that weight but forged.

Eibach Sportlines, Alpine W203ri, OEM Springs & Exhaust.

Just to point out that adaptor is for an iPhone 4S or before, it's not the lightning adaptor. Also works with an iPod classic which is the older connection design as well. -
I think Yokohama Advan V105's are a good choice. They are a good all rounder on the road and can take a bit of track abuse too.
-
ark grip for resonated milltek or uel?
Lauren replied to Dan7954's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
I always thought Ian's exhaust was very quiet. A Milltek would be louder I would say. -
I really like the Yoko Advan V105's, great on the road and can take track abuse should you be so inclined.

Chris, the Tein Streetflex Z is an absolute bargain at the moment. These aren't rebuildable/servicable but I've got the rebuildable ones with 45K miles on them and they have been faultless and that is with the EDFC Active Pro as well. I'm not sure what spring rate they ship with stock, but am fairly sure it will be 7/7kg. You can ask for 6/6kg or the 'Lauren spring rate' (honestly Tein UK are now calling it that so they told me at the weekend!) of 5/6kg. It'll help the ride, but the reason why I went for a lower spring rate on the front, is so I can weight transfer under braking a bit better and rotate the rear a little easier. I've tried th 6/6kg setup and whilst it is a little easier, it tends to understeer a little more I think. My setup is perhaps a bit more edgy along with a fairly aggressive geommetry setup. It's all a matter of preference of course!

Welcome aboard, I'm really not sure what that is on your parcel shelf but it's certainly not a standard fitment or any sort.
-
It's far easier to fit them to your 17's. Lots of people have spare sets of OEM wheels which are virtually worthless, so maybe pick up a second set?
-
Hi Chris, welcome aboard. The TWS T66-F is a very light forged wheel. I like the Professor's too and there's a part of me that would love to see what they look like on a GT. Sorry not much help there! I'm not convinced by the spring rate on the HKS coilovers, 6/4kg whilst seeming to be what a lot of RWD cars run, many people run a 6/6kg setup. I run 5/6kg so softer at the front. The stock setup is 3/4kg or so, so I do think it's odd that HKS have done it the other way round for this application. I have driven Maz's car a couple of times, I really like the HKS V2 SC. I wasn't sure about the spring rate though as it felt a bit weak on the rear end. Maz reckoned he had it set really soft though.
