I don't think it's a huge issue in regard to the warranty tbh. Up to you though. I haven't gone forced induction, but it's not because of worries about the warranty,
-
I don't expect a huge difference, which is probably why I haven't shelled out £500 for it. You can raise the rev limit a bit. There are options like flat foot shifting, auto blipping (for those who can't heel and toe) and launch control, though I'm not interested in those. I've already got an induction kit, decat and exhaust etc.

Euro Tour over the Austrian Alps, Dolomites and Swiss Alps
Lauren replied to Lauren's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
Gald you enjoyed it. I've done the Grimsel again, but I was in awe going through the Dolomites, so many great passes, one after another. Also the Grossglockner was good apart from being a bit busy. I will do a thorough write up when I get back. -
Cobra Sport resonated exhaust on ebay
Lauren replied to Ae86grupper's topic in For Sale GT86 / BRZ Parts
Pics and price please on here. We don't want this just to be a place to link to ebay if you don't mind. -
I've had a remap on my insurance when I took out the policy in January, but I still haven't done the remap on the car yet. So as Steve says, it's okay if you've not done the mods, but really I did this with my insurance as it didn't add anything and I didn't want the admin fees should I remap it later in the year.

Lower the seat when reversing, or use your mirrors.

Welcome aboard Nick. Good news is there is a great social scene down south, so plenty of things to do. Enjoy your car. -
Favourite Racing Car When Growing Up?

S1 Ur-Quattro: -
Adrian sells BC's so he fits them to his cars. It wouldn't make sense if he fitted a really expensive setup but didn't sell it. The same is true of him using Rota wheels. He fits products he sells to his customers to his race car. That makes sense. There's nothing wrong with BC's really. But they are cheap and will be built to a price in Taiwan. Some people may prefer to buy stuff that is made in Japan, Germany or England. The build quality of BC's is not an issue, but the materials used in construction may be cheaper as after all something has to give.

Damage to "carbon" section of rear bumper BRZ
Lauren replied to Solwood's topic in GT86/BRZ General Chat
Easiest option is get and fit a new black plastic bit to the rear bumper. Can't be that expensive. -
Good news, worth asking then!

Nothing happens if you sell the car with the mods on it. You just sell it, that's it. Not sure what you mean by this? If you buy a modified car and don't declare mods because you don't know about them, then that is your problem and you will not be insured. But that is entirely your fault and you should know what you're buying! Ignorance is never an excuse after all.

Is it worth mentioning that I have covered 68K miles on my original set of wiper blades and they still work just fine!
-
I think seeing as they've given you a decent courtesy car and offered you £200, that's enough. Asking for three years servicing is a bit much IMO. Even at 10K miles a year that will be around £600 or so.
-
There is the Milltek option, though I will shortly be having my fourth fitted! This is due to it cracking, though all have been replaced under warranty. They have now incorporated a flexi pipe and a few other modifications to prevent this. In the 68K miles I've done though, all have been replaced without quibble under warranty, so hopefully the next one will go the distance. A second cat delete is worth considering too.

There are a good number of us around the Macclesfield/Manchester area. We do do drive outs around the EVO Triangle and also the 'Lauren' Triangle (round the Cat & Fiddle) at times. As for local shows, we don't seem to have got that involved in stuff in the local area really. Not really sure why but we tend to simply travel to the bigger events which are never in the NW it seems.

I went in a ride in one some twenty years ago. Was the Triumph 3.0 V8 before they switched to the Rover V8. Was the most awful unimpressive car I've been in that I can recall. I thought it might have a redeeming feature. It didn't.

It's a crying shame that there are that many Stags still left.
-
Or you can get it from your dealer, but around £60.

YMMV is basically my experience with touch up repairs where I've had scrapes on the front splitter and rear bumper done. Neither is amazing really. Having said that apart from the rear bumper which is a totally different shade you don't really notice that much on the front. I think for your repair, it won't matter too much as it isn't in an obvious place.

It was on the 18th July I'm afraid.

A few pics from JDM North Meet tonight
Lauren replied to Gringosteve's topic in Meets/Show & Shine - Pictures & Videos
Looks like a good turn out! I must admit, I never as a rule go to evening meets as I always worry about people being silly when they come and go. -
Welcome aboard, glad you're enjoying the car. The keyless entry takes a little bit of getting used to, but as Keith said, ask away and we'll help you with that. There are fixes for the rattles, or like some of us do, don't worry about it. As for stone chips, they weill happen, particularly so on the front, but again, you can get a touch up paint for it, or get it wrapped if you're worried about it. I've done a lot of miles in my car so it's kind of got character now with all the stone chips!
