Not bad going Mike! Just out of interest I notice you have square plates on. It looks better than I thought it was, though I always have a sort of rule myself that it's only square plates on an import like say my AE86. Also you do know that the rear lights have nothing to do with Lexus, it's paying homage to the 2000GT which makes me feel less keen to change them, but plenty of people have! You so need the TRD engine start/stop button! I was fortunate to pick one up in Superautobacs in Yokohama for a paltry £65, but it's twice the price to buy it here. I have an un-remapped NA. I have driven every version of FI (except the GPRM car). It depends what you want. The AVO turbo is a welll sorted kit IMO, lag is not bad at all, but I preferred the balance of a stage 1 over the stage 3. I've also driven the Sprintex. I found that very torquey in the mid range. I think my favourite is the HKS version 2 so far. Good mid-range punch, but the fun is right up to the redline and the way it just steams into the limiter is irresistible. I'm hoping to have a go in the Cosworth version soon. There are lots of options but it's all about how you want the car to drive.

Yes, laser jammers are illegal. I admit I've never used one, though I know people who have. It's one of those really, you may get away with it, but you might not. You take your chances! Isn't 2nd gear good for about 90mph in one of those? They always seem to have such long gearing.

Mikhail, you need to put a for sale price up and preferably some more pictures please. -
A longer spring will not change the amount of suspension travel as it will be pre-loaded and thus not as long when on the car. Suspension travel is determined by damper stroke length which is a set amount.
-
Yeah sorry forgot about that. Neil had a problem with them, not sure if he resolved it, that was what it was about.

Don't speed? There are various detection devices you can get. I've still got a Bell Euro 550 which I got back in 2002 or so. Not used it for years though. That would pick up Gatso's and more importantly tell you if they were on or not. It worked with laser also, but you have to remember by the time it goes off you have already been done. Really there's no answer to avoiding laser. The thing with Gatso's anyway is that if it's a regular route you know where they are. I would say allow more time to drive the distances you are doing.

If you have coilovers that are adjustable on the length of the dampers case, then you don't lose damper travel by lowering the car. You maintain the whole length of the damper stroke. My Teins are like this, not sure about BC's. The finite length of your stroke is dependent upon the stroke of the damper.

I would only recommend JP, as I've used them before and had various work/systems made up for cars I've owned. Years ago when I was helping with Elise K20A conversions they were the only one able to make a manifold that didn't crack. I just think their workmanship is outstanding, but I wouldn't consider someone else. H&S holds no interest for me.

Introducing Rigid Collars - club offer
Lauren replied to Burn! Motorsport's topic in Burn! Motorsport
If no-one has taken it up, there must be a reason. I admit, I've felt no need to stiffen my chassis, I think it's stiff enough already. I do wonder how superflous a lot of bracing is, though I understand this is not bracing. -
She's still only done 650 miles. Can't drive it I suppose with the logo upside down.
-
The reason I bought the Milltek is because it was part of an upgrade package when I bought the car. To be fair it sounds great. Just wished it didn't crack. A lifetime warranty means it's not cost me a penny or any hassle to get them replaced as my dealer is RRG and they don't mess about.
-
If I was buying again, I would go to JP Exhausts in Macc and get a system made up to spec.
-
You can import any exhaust from Japan.
-
Cobra can't seem to make an exhaust that is consistent in how loud it is. 108Db should be a criminal offence IMO. That's the issue really. I wouldn't touch a Milltek with a bargepole though, I'm on my third due to the previous two cracking.
-
If it's any help I have non-res Milltek with a secondary cat delete and over-pipe. It's absolutely fine on the motorway no drone at all. I do 400+ miles a week, with a fair bit of motorway thrown in. Not an issue.
-
Ah yes I can see them. Good work, you have been busy! Think the exhaust sounds too quiet though you can only really tell what an exhaust is like by driving the car. Delete the 2nd cat gain a bit more power and make it sound better.

Your pics haven't posted. Was you copying and pasting from elsewhere?
-
Fit them and get your camber set correctly, it's the only way.
-
Toyota won't approve them, so it's never going to happen. I think that has curtailed the development as they are just the same as every other big tuner out there.
-
Yes they are to be fair, but when they keep talking about complete packages and the like, they were obviously hoping to have an approved 'Cosworth GT86' to sell.
-
Congrats on getting it. Welcome aboard. If it's any help I've got the mats and I've done over 60K, sure there's some wear on them but I think they have lasted very well, can't complain really. Maybe don't drive in high heels?
-
Why didn't you just buy the original kit, from Rocket Bunny if that's what you wanted? It won't be a Rocket Bunny kit and all you're doing is lining the pockets of those making fake copies. I just don't get it. You've put a huge amount of effort into your car and you're prepared some put a fake kit on it?

I really like my Tein Streetflex with EDFC Active Pro. It will run rings round a standard car. Improvement in ride quality and they've been faultless in over 25K miles. The new Streetflex Z which are non-rebuildable seem like an absolute bargain tbh. They are liking them on the US forums.

When I went out with it as an NA, I wasn't impressed with the 235's on 18's on it. To be fair, that I was a passenger didn't help.
