From my (copyright 2003) article on the then Shell Optimax:
-
BP Ultimate (97 Ron) and Tesco Momentum (99 Ron) are two different fuels. The Ron rating alone is not the whole story. Shell V Power Nitro is the best forecourt fuel.
-
I've only used super unleaded, most V Power Nitro. That's in 50,000 miles. I've never had a problem finding Super Unleaded, whether it's here or in Northern Europe. The car will run okay on 95 RON. You will lose a bit of power, but otherwise it should be okay. If I were you though, no way would I put in standard unleaded.

Toni, come up and try some sloe gin I made with your sloes. I'm sure Richard can help out with a viewing, reckon we could get a few out for dinner too.

It's a standard MY15 revision, Neil.

It seems to be the case that if you don't drive your car the battery tends to go flat. I left mine for 15 days and it was fine, but I do stupid mileage. If your use was low preceding leaving it, then you might want to take a friend and some jump leads.

Cool. Look forward to having a look when I'm down on Monday.

IIRC 14.7psi = 1 Bar

Lovely car, and Jonathan's got a whole load of new goodies lined up. Looking forward to seeing it.

Good luck with your search, fortunately most BRZs are WRC blue!

Nice that there was an AE86 Trueno in the footage, albeit not moving!

86WORX 1 YEAR SALE! Hundreds of JDM parts with HUGE discounts!
Lauren replied to 86WORX's topic in 86WORX
The prices appear to be in dollars. Does that mean that shipping is from the US? This will affect the landed price in the UK I'm guessing? -
It's too wide, the tyre will be wider than the wheel, it won't give a good steering feel. As Lee says the sidewall will flex more. 8" rim is optimal for 225 really, that's what I run. You really want a little bit of stretch, but not enough to ruin the ride quality.

I'm not sure, but I know that in the RX8 I raced, that had a full cage and harnesses, bucket seats etc as you would expect of a race car. Standard steering wheel with airbag disabled. The technical thing with a harness is that if it has a twist release buckle then it will not pass an MOT. That doesn't necessarily mean it isn't legal for the road though. Cars that come with harnesses as standard have a red PRESS button that will pass an MOT. Whether these cars have airbags is another matter, I was thinking abou Elises and the like here, but I can't honestly remember. I would only use the harnesses on track really, it just helps keep you in position. The other option is one of those seat belt lock off things, but harness straps are better in that respect.

It really is unbearably loud and that was with a helmet on when I got a ride on track. The problem is it seems to really resonate at high rpm, making my ears bleed. It's probably okay-ish cruising around but I did find it to be louder than other aftermarket systems.

Horizontal for the top harnesses is what you want. If you clip them down into the passenger seat bases it will be a great way to potentially snap your spine in half in an accident. Not what you want really. I'm not sure how easy it is to put in and take out a harness bar. If it's a load of hassle I'll just leave it. Thought it would be easy to use the top isofix points though as surely they'll be easy strong enough?
-
Yes 4 point as no way to fix a 5/6 point with stock seats. I can't see why the Isofix wouldn't be a safe attachment, Rob as it's designed as a mounting point after all. I know about the angles of the top harnesses, would guess that the isofix top mount would likely be in range though I'd have to try it really.

Hello from Coilovers Specialists, MeisterR (Enkei Wheels Distributor)

Hi, you'll need to be an authorised trader to trade on here. We'll get the details to you. -
Airbag light is on all the time. Don't worry about it. You'd have to turn off the passenger airbag.
-
It doesn't make sense. Why not just take it to RRG anyway?

AD08R's are more for the track than the road. A high end road tyre will be better on our wet roads particularly so with the temperatures dropping. I run Advan Sport V105's 94Y. They are good in the wet and dry. They handle track abuse well too. Also Contisport Contact 5's, which I might try in the spring. F1's good for road, soft on sidewalls though but not so hot on track.

Start your insurance before you pick the car up. You should be able to tax it online instantly. Surely as long as you tax within a day of buying the car, you should be alright I would have thought. Ask at your dealer as you can bet everyone asks that!

Not a text you want to receive! Sorry to hear that.

Wow, that is quick, must have come via air freight!

The thing that dealers can miss is that the diff oil needs to be changed every 20K. Make sure they've done it.
