Yep fair enough, did the faux pas of saying hoover instead of vacuum cleaner. I thought the power curve was more indicative of a centrifugal supercharger and the corresponding characteristics that you would expect.
-
Sachs dampers apparently, saw these when I was at 86 Style at Fuji.

The stock brakes are pretty good I reckon. I'm going on having covered 47000miles, which included doing the Alps twice taking in 11 Alpine passes including the Stelvio twice. Also I've done a number of track days and sprints, without an issue. How you use the brakes may have an impact though.

The HKS has a nice curve and the Rotrex pays dividends at the top end, so you can rev it right out. Like it.
-
It might also be worth pointing out that the stock brakes are absolutely fine. Sure you can get them to smoke if you spend 15 minutes on track and really use them, but if you're only doing ten minute sessions they will be just fine. On the road not an issue. Yes, I did set some on fire on a GT limited spec GT86 on the Toyo Tires Turnpike, but that was after repeated braking from 100mph down to 50mph corner after corner. As Steve said, a better bet is to try different pads. It's lot cheaper too!

Hmm, no better then. Wouldn't be keen on parts made there tbh. They are good value for money, but IMO it's either the likes of AP or something specific from the JDM or nothing.

Interesting about the top line yellow version. I hate yellow, but I have a friend who adores it. I'll let her know, she might make a trip up to Macc. Interesting on the poverty spec model though it's still higher than the equivalents in Japan and the US.

If your thinking of using poverty spec rear disks, don't !

Worth noting. OEM only for me though! -
Very cool.

Let me know where and what time you are dining and Mark and I will see if we can pop along.

I know it's a bit mad but I thought I'd try and answer the question rathe than wax lyrical about overtaking powers and the like. Here's a link to the thread lower down detailing price of kits: http://www.gt86.org.uk/forums/topic/1096-abbey-motorsport-sprintex-self-fit-sc-kits/

What Car 2015 Ford Mustang review
Lauren replied to Captain Duff's topic in Non GT86/BRZ General Chat
That's only really any good if you want a bigger, faster car though. More grip, more power does not necessarily make it a better car. BMW M235i is surely going to be better in every way, if you must have over 300bhp? I had no idea people took notice of what TG every says. -
Well as you have it that low without roll centre adjusters, then you will likely encounter bump steer and the handling and roll centres will be severely compromised, so the car won't handle properly. You can buy RCA's for the suspension components to help raise the roll centre and compensate for the car being lower which throws the suspension out of alignment. When you say you are running around 2 degrees negative camber on the rear, you really need to know exactly what it is. This may cause increased tyre wear. Also with 9.5" rims on 225's you will have a fair bit of stretch on those tyres which is great for sharpening things up handling wise, but dire for ride quality. Personal preference really. I admit I do like a bit of stretch as it takes the progressiveness out of the rear end and it's great for drifting. I'm expecting that those Rotas are prettty heavy too which will also affect how the car feels. It's nothing disastrous but a 50mm drop is way too much. 40mm is too much without RCA's really, but it's up to you, depends upon what you want to use the car for.

What Car 2015 Ford Mustang review

But how much does it weigh? By the sounds of the review even Autocar don't like it. I really think you'll be way more impressed with a BMW and you won't have to put up with a crappy American interior and build quality. -

I'm not seeing the appeal. This might be the best handling Mustang ever, but all the previous ones have been dire. A 2.3 four pot turbo just sounds wrong. -
I reckon in reality running that final drive would make it similar in gear ratios to my old Panda 100hp (that was a 6 speed). That was nippy in part due to the gearing. It was actually okay on the motorway, sure you were going along at higher revs, but it did mean it was more responsive as a result. My old AE86 would sit at 3000rpm at 100km/h (62mph). Of course it only has five gears but that becomes a chore on a 1600 mile trip to Germany and back especially when your top cruising speed is 130km/h on de-restricted autobahn.

Glad you found your way over. Sorry I was not at Gaydon, had a wedding to go to!
-
Looks great though 50mm is too much I would guess without using RCA's. What tyres and sizes are you running? How much camber are you running on the rear? Looks like a lot in the pics.
-
I can confirm that the JDM car I had (GT Limited Spec) seemed to have the same gearing as my UK car.
-
I think, Jay if you fit that final drive then what you describe will be pretty much how it turns out.

Bosozoku. Or all about stance.

Glad to see that someone has taken the plunge. I had a ride round Blyton Park in the demonstrator, only as a passenger though. It did feel quicker due to the remap, though I did find the exhaust resonates at high revs and that was with a helmet on. Please let us know how you get on with it. I think for most of us, we'd already started adding mods, so the package from Cosworth came a bit late for us.

It's a tiny repair though in a place that people won't really notice, so it doesn't have to be amazing to sort it. Good luck with it. I got RRG Macc to sort scuffs and stuff that I've incurred on my car by the same guy they use and the damage was a lot worse than yours. Get it sorted then you can forget about it.
